For jgf, I was playing with GCD and when I was paying for training services (after a couple of hours of gameplay) this message appeared: "Script Gals_level_Screen_Update trying t RunFunction index greater than Function Count. The Script will not run anymore. Continue running executable?" If I click on yes the game crashes. I tried to find something in the read-me, but nothing draw my attention on this. That happens with GCD occasionally. Tell it to not continue and after MW exits, restart and reload. I don't know what the issue is, but reloading seems to fix it. candesco: I still have a few minor things to fix on Jasmine and eventually I'll be adding Tribunal quests to her, but I'm taking a break from my major mods (the snow bear cub was a very minor one involving script tweaks and some testing) and won't be releasing a new version of her until I get the Tribunal stuff done and have her integrated with another companion mod.

Jac, thank you! Actually, that problem I descripted occured twice in the same situation. So I decided to pick the other save I have without the mod and I even learned (and enjoy) doing the efficient levelling! Well, now the only problem is to have more money to pay for the training services when I'm not interested in training myself.... 9_9. hehehe Damn, I've been too much addicted to the game, took four days to reply. >_<

At a low level your character is slow ... and weak, and short on Magicka. It's normal. Run as often as you can and then on level up, assign some of your points to speed. For a first play-through, you might want to consider running unmodded, or with only the basic/subtle mods (like that patch you mentioned and the better bodies). Playing unmodded will later allow you to better realize what mods you actually want for your style of play. Oh, and I see you have wrye bash. That's essential. Sorts out mod conflicts and even you don't have mods it's a good thing becuase it can be used to fix corrupted character saves. p.s. Oh: and never ever ever ever use quicksave and quickload. To quote from Ghostbusters, "that would be bad." Why not use quick save/load? Without an explanation I had to try it. 4 hours play and my spells disappeared. Still don't know how it happened though, but had to try it. I also use quick s/l in oblivion and haven't seemed to have a problem there (So far completed all vanilla quests).

Using quick save may cause save corruption, there are opinions both ways. Using quick load does cause save corruption, as many variable changes didn't reset when you load a save without first exiting the game. If you recruit a NPC and then load another save (even with a different character), sometimes said NPC will be following you, despite you two never meet in that game.

Wow! A Lazarus thread!
But I agree quicksave and quickload are problematic. I experienced numerous quirks and oddities, even an occasional refusal to load a savegame, til someone advised me to stop using quicksave and return to a proper ESC>Save from the menu.

Hi Marek,
I approached Morrowind with full immersion in mind. I had been waiting for this type of game for decades and wanted it to be something different. So with that, the very first thing I did was made myself ignore the statistics.
I had already played Morrowind pristine on the XBox, so I knew that for the PC, I wanted the full mod experience. The first thing I did was Better Bodies, then Better clothes, then the LGNPC mods. I took their advice in what they say "Install the mods then forget about them.", so that way every experience was a surprise. I wanted the towns alive, so I immediately added Children of Morrowind and then Morrowind Comes Alive.
Then came the companions and land masses. Emma's fare had me hooked from The WitchGirl Adventure, so they were first, then all the others. More landmasses. More graphical changes, and then more adventures trying trial and error, as some mods were either broken or worse, conflicted with the ones before them.
Then after creating my character to his look, it was the office and then his life. Even though he would level up depending on his actions, I ignored all the numerics, because I didn't want a "gaming" experience of stats and titles and hacking and slashing my way towards acheivement. I wanted the feeling of experiencing his world, through him. Before I knew it, it was adventure...danger...travels and companions. I picked up Ingred from Emma and Grumpy's "The Dome Home" to keep me company, and we traveled the entire lands of Morrowind and Solstheim. Watched each other's back, and with care, never had to be forced to ressurect her from the console. She wasn't a pack horse, or a shield (even though she is a shield maiden). If the danger looked too big, I told her to "wait", and checked it out. If it was light, there were times where just as I was nocking an arrow, she would send one directly from behind me killing the threat.
Many years and 255 mods in the load later, I STILL haven't explored every facet that the game and the mods offer, just now getting to faction quests and locating the many littered special weapons about. With the LGNPC, I have literally tons of adventures, from the touching to the truly comical. Whether my character is level 6 or level 26, I never care. As things are turned on (leveled beasts and such) at certain levels, I remain surprised because they show up without my knowing it. Also, using many of Westly's replacers, some of them actually make me jump from the keyboard, like his redone Corprus Stalkers. Brrrrr.
I couldn't create half of what I did were it not for the great modders and the fact that the game offers so much more than it really states. Pristine on a console was good, but modded on a PC is so incredible, it is unbelievable.

Hehehe, Lazarus thread was good! Hey, Eirik! Thanks man, I have to admit that I stopped Morrowind in LGNPC (I started just like you, but my relationship with the only companion I had wasn't that good). Since I still didn't buy the expansions, I can't experience many famous mods -even the unofficial patch. I want to visit Morrowind again, but once I have all these things. Actually, I'm trying to draw my adventures and I have a RPG by e-mail with three friends and their characters are in the world of The Elder Scrolls. This other kind of freedon is really interesting too. I might show the things I'm drawing soon, but if you want you can check how it's going in my facebook. =D

As mentioned earlier in this post, I am also getting this error with GCD: "Script Gals_level_Screen_Update trying t RunFunction index greater than Function Count. The Script will not run anymore. Continue running executable?" This happens when I am still level 1 but have raised my skills quite a bit (normal use, not thru console). The above error appears no matter if I'm buying the skill from a Trainer or however else I gain skills. Does anyone know where this error is coming from? Does this mean that I can't level with GCD for some reason? Any help is appreciated!

Oh yes... Mythic Mods are the way to go with Morrowind... especially if you want some realism... www.mwmythicmods.com/realism.htmI played and modded the "H" out of Morrowind. One of the best TES games.
