Ah, I found a bunch at texnexus. Yay, no more apes. Still why do the characters hunch over? Bethesda did a great job with the graphics, scenery, but the character/facegen is awful!

I stumbled into "Brush with Death", "Separated at birth" and a few others. Since adding some face/hairs(CCR-EE), my thief is more attractive. I even got visited by the DB, but haven't decided to join them. This Oblivion is getting more interesting. Almost to level 3, lol.

Doesn't anyone do character faces? I really hate this appearance generator, expecially since I got the NPCs to look better. (forehead, nose selion, jaw, etc.) ugh! and ugly. I am spoiled by Morrowind. The section "Save games" at Nexus is full of beautiful character looks that you can use for your character. Some of them do require additional mods, like HGEC or Ren's heads.

TY, Emma. Those Mystic Elves look nice too.
Any suggestions on guilds? My Breton is a thief...not sure if I can manage DB or Thieve guild quests...not enough security or sneak at this level, I could just wander around, I guess...

Well, if you're a thief then presumably the thieves guild *is* where you want to go eventually. But the best way to get skills up when you're just starting to go looting and plundering in the countryside. Oblivion has lots of interesting caverns and ruins to explore - as much as I hate to criticise Morrowind (STILL MY FAVOURITE!!! ) Oblivions does a great deal better in that regard. . . . ... I have to ask though... Just who did you cold-bloodedly murder to attract the Dark Brotherhood? . . . -A.

I was in the Cheydinal castle trying to find the corrupt evidence and stupid guards got in way. I resisted arrest. (I later found the right place, but the Count was nice)

TY to all for suggestions, those sound good. It can be confusing with all the choices, I don't want to fracture my effort. "Focus, focus!" and that is hard, so many new things to see.
