Used FallrimTool's Resaver, it's warning of a potential problem. My save has a stack count of 119,900 . Of them 119,220 are from <viljascript>! There are no unattached instances nor undefined elements. I've tried the friendly fight and the Vilja reset spell, no change. The VM is overstressed. FPS hovers at or near 60. VRAM: 3574/7379. Anyone know of any way to possibly solve this Vilja stack count issue?

No idea about the stack. But some generic fixes I try. Assuming you are having lag or similar issues. . First, load some old save, go back several days and re run the resaver. If the same, continue going back a few days at a time. IF they all show that error it may be the resaver error and not a real problem. . If you go back and get a normal report, try newer saves until you get the error. If you determine the error is real and happened after a certain time, load an old save around the time you noticed a problem. Disable Vilja. Move the PC away from all activity, NPCs and so on, like an empty room, wait for 72+ hours then make a test save and run resaver on it. See if the problem has changed. The two above can help determine if there is a real problem, and if Vilja has an issue that goes away. . If she does have a problem after some certain time, it is a real problem, turn off her AI, do the null room and 72+ hours and try resaver again. What I often do when a screw up appears to happen, is disable the NPC, enable, resetAI then see if anything has changed. If not, do the null and 72 hours with her active but in another cell and again check.
Obviously, if the error is real, her disabled then a period of time, the problem should be gone. Then the less drastic, disable, enable, and her AI off. Then disable, enable, and just AIreset.
Process of elimination: problem is real. Was it slowly additive or a sudden occurrence? Try to determine what occurred if the latter. If slowly additive, you have some sleuthing to do, again using process of elimination.
Your two nuclear options. Disable things that are using scripts. Everything disabled and the problem is still there, game corruption. Go back until there is no problem. Nuke 2 is TAI, turn off AI instead of disable, this may pinpoint the problem.
TAI and a null time out is a powerful tool in pinpointing a runaway script on NPCs. Simply turning it off then back on can clear the problem. ResetAI only clears immediate problems like stuck in an execution loop.

I certainly hope you get the problem(s) corrected. This problem in general, is the likely culprit in many problems Skyrim and similar games have. To my surprise, my old mentor in things computer answered my email with a little sage advice. His take: "Your foot will never feel better as long as the horse is still sanding on it. . Your general suggestions are correct. Errant code running outside the controlled parameters of the program. Any code that has been added to the original code of a program that has been tried, tested, and proven to be stable. Eliminate all code except for the original and the problem goes away."
Yesterday I reverted to my old saved game, level 41 PC, just rescued Vilja and romance brewing. Most of the map unexplored. And Sofia, installed but inactive. When activated, she didn't work correctly. I did the big bad No No. I uninstalled her completely and installed a new clean copy. Same problem.
Of course, obvious. The game was fine and runs well. Obviously the connection was the saved game. It brought the problem over and installed it in the new Sofia. The same exact problem came up with M'rissi.
Solution was simple. As my mentor said, eliminate all but the original. Reverted again to the pre-activation of both mods saved game where both mods had been installed. Then removed the mods, deleted them completely. Then eliminate the poison. What was left in the saved game. Good old Skyrim Save Cleaner to the rescue which removes unattached instances. With the mods uninstalled the instances in the saved game were unattached, and got swept out the door.
The problem with M'rissi is it had installed a lot of changed textures. I have to go through the 27 GB data file and find every one of the altered or newly installed bits of code. No thanks. I'll live without that mod. It's trash will remain forever in Data, but never be used.
Mod Organizer. Useless junk. Unless all your mods are installed with it. Use it after some mods have been installed and it's pure chaos. Sofia installed using MO did not install correctly. I tried about six times then gave up on it and manually installed Sofia. She worked fine. Inigo, same same. MO failed, manual install worked fine.
Regardless of the mod installer program, they must be all or nothing. Unforeseen conflicts can become all too common. With both Sofia and Inigo, MO did the install but did not replace the old esm and esp files in data. It can't since it doesn't know they exist. Telling it to overwrite doesn't work. It only overwrites what is in it's records. Pre-existing mod data won't be replaced.

YIPE. Help? Experimenting and not paying attention.... Sofia is down in Riften waiting for me to show up to marry her. A number of thoughts immediately came to my abused brain cells, the foremost being is it possible to coincide marry Vilja and Sofia at the same time? Will this be possible and will is cause a Skyrim train wreck of biblical proportions? Ramifications? Suggestions? Ideas? Comments? I have a saved game just before my dumbing out and clicking the marry selection. Marriage to Sofia and a life together? Im curious of what dialogues are in store but as a partner, I'd rather marry Liefer without the ability to tell him to quit barking. It's a toss up and which is more preferable, marry Sofia or my new pet chaurus. Optional. How about some console or other coding marrying Sofia to the chaurus? A mod perhaps?
Maramal: "Sofia, do you take... psst, do you have a name? ... take Slither to be your .............. Sofia: "OF COURSE! I love kink!" Maramal: "Slither, do you take this slut... errr Sofia to be your ... um, hive mate ............. Slither: ".............................................................................. I'm thinking ! Errrrmmmm....." Maramal: "Perhaps it would be more appropriate for this ceremony to take place at an altar to Sanguine... " Sophia: "YES!" Slither: "Excuse me a moment. I think I'm going to be sick."
I was thinking to myself, who would want to marry a person like Sofia? Then I recalled my recent vacation to the American midwest. I think I'll join Slither doing the big spit in the corner now.

If I recall correctly, Maramal isn't involved in the wedding ceremony with Sofia.

If I recall correctly, Maramal isn't involved in the wedding ceremony with Sofia. Probably conducted in the Ratway by a local pimp?
I backed off and reloaded my pre popping the question to her save. I've got a very long list of quests to undertake inclusive of furthering the Vilja romance, and both the Bards College and College of Winterhold brewing I'd rather not revisit. At least not this soon.
And I'm trying to find ways to corrupt the Thalmor spy at the college quest line. If that fails it will be enjoyable to stand back and watch my five follower wrecking crew - 27 grand soul gems and four solid hours of smithing invested in their equipment, undertake annihilation. It's entertaining to see who will get the killing blow in. Best of the best is a flaming corpse hitting the floor from Sofia's and Arissa's swords, ice spikes from Serana, and finding ebony, (Inigo) and glass (Vilja) arrows in it. Little Ms. Dragonborn normally reserves her involvement for coup de grâce on dragons and taking screenshots.
