We went out for a night at an inn but the stage did not progress. I need the set stage ID to complete the quest if someone could help me here. Oddly, Vilja still drunk after several days, asked for the wolf pelts for the armor, I gave them to her and that quest completed.

If I remember correctly, Vilja says she wants to go out for a night at a tavern but lists places that don't count -- Whiterun, Riften and Markarth I think. Any tavern/inn in those places would not complete the quest. Other places should.

Nope. Stuck solid. She has the 'night out' in her quest list and has gone passed that to doing the wolfcry and improved wolfcry and a letter from her mother. But she is still drunk after about 10 in game days. I need the quest ID and the number to complete it.

Happened to my wife a bit earlier. Vilja just wouldn't sober-up. Old save was the only fix for us.

But the night out is still stuck in the quests. I'm hoping just setting the quest completed will do the job. Otherwise, it's back to another trip into Blackreach, mammoth bonking for grand souls and building Vilja's wardrobe all over again.
At least I know to not take her to Markarth, Riften or Bannered Mare. That mix and match and not match smithing and enchanting was a confusing 3-4 hour nightmare!
I did come up with one little trick. Double enchantments on items. Archery and smithing. Deadly bow and crank out legendary smithing without swapping any gear.

If I recall a past post, Vilja uses a system of coins/tokens to become drunk/sober....added or subtracted. Coins are apparently removed via her talking(?) Too bad there isn't a panic button that sets her back to default like Sofia & Recorder.
Accidentally telling Vilja to stop taking so much can affect this apparently...if that happened.

I told her to stop the chatter entirely. Every 6 or 7 seconds she would repeat the same comment. I put up with it for about an hour hoping something would shift. Another query. She can now learn spells, but I see nothing in her menu on how to teach them to her. Do I just put books in her inventory?
I'll turn her chatter on full blast and endure it for a couple of hours. I noticed when I told her to quit talking it only affected the chatter, not the important 'Have you got a minute...'

Nope. "In Solthein we would dance on the tables after a few bottles of mead. They don't....." repeat every 5 seconds. The Bard qyest progressed. Not hint of Night Out. She will also engage in other dialogue but then revert to what appears to be her idle conversation. Changing her chat time also has no effrct nor does any resets of her problem fixes and resets.

Vilja spell learning: Have spell books on hand, select fighting strategy, then "about your spells". Alternatively, yes, just drop spell books in her inventory. But you may still have to go into "about your spells" to select which among the spells she knows that she should use during a fight

Thanks much! I also fixed Vilja. Reverted to the pre drunk save then dismissed Ceridwen. Vilja instantly wanted the evening out. No more repeat dialogue.

Addingendumb! Ceridwen dismissed and I have grown very fond of Vilja again. Without follower interruptions her quests and dialogue sail right along with some new snippets here and there. Obviously there was a major conflict with Ceridwen. No telling if it was that mods fault or my rat soup with maple syrup and garlic game. i'm feeling a little guilty as I assigned Ceri to that location, only a foundation and floor, she is whiling away her life digging and quarrying. I hope if I finish building and get some bedrooms in she will move in out of the weather. But first, a stable for Bruse. He can share with Ceri.

Ceridwen...while Vilja recognizes her and such, Vilja no like-ee. Jealous.

I just had another foul-up. Going to the enchanting table I had four objects shown in my inventory that aren't there with the <no name> label. They could not be enchanted since the game didn't know what they were and what enchantments they could take. I entirely emptied the PC inventory and they remained in the enchantable list. So obviously some sort of corruption and I dialed back to a save game three hours earlier where they weren't there. Vilja post night out romance quest has to be done again. Anyone have had this? Any explanation? Suggestions to avoid the problem?
Cheat: how to bork the game system. Enchanted several objects that took the enchantment Fortify Healing. Replaced all combat and defense objects with those. Made sure all armor was of the same type - light, then placed the PC in a cave with two bears. They couldn't damage her fast enough so 45 minutes later I came back to the keyboard with her light armor skill gone from 55 to 100.
I hate capped skills. Enchanted and smithed some objects to a certain damage and defense ability. Collected ingredients, made potions, took alchemy up to 100 and made the ultimate enchanting and smithing elixers. They both had zero effect. Same power enchantment and level of offense and defense. Capped at 40 so player made potions wouldn't compete with the game supplied Elixer of Enchanting and Smithing Elixer. So 14 or so hours working on alchemy, getting training and collecting ingredients entirely a waste of time.

HOW TO INSERT OBJECTS THAT DON'T EXIST WITHOUT NAMES INTO YOUR INVENTORY
1. Do in a dragon while another dragons is attacking and followers are fighting it. 2. While it is barfing up it's soul and that movie is playing search it's inventory and hit Take All 3. Quickly click on the decomposing dragon and Disable it.
With a little practice you too can grab items from the dragon which register in your inventory but don't have any data assigned to them.
