Here's a perplexing problem I've had. When I have my character and his companions out walking around, I have them enter whatever Oblivion Gate we come across, work there way to the portal, and snatch the Sigil Stone, and be teleported out. Most of the time, it works out that way, but I've had a couple where my character has snatched the stone, but we aren't teleported out, or only some of my companions are. My character is left standing there, looking at the now-broken structure that held the stone, wondering what happened to everybody else. Has anyone had that happen? Is it a bug? A feature?

That's a new one on me. I've gotten out of a gate and had companions disappear, which is why I never take companions into Oblivion any more, but I've never had "myself" stuck there.

Here the console could help you greatly. you could use CloseCurrentOblivionGate function. If this didn't work (should do, but taking the sigil stone should have work also after all), type coc cellname to go out of the Oblivion gate and when you see the gate again, selet it on the console and type CloseOblivionGate. EDIT: Well, about being a bug or a feature, I had never actually seen an Oblivion gate besides Kvatch one, so, no idea.
