On yet another tour through Morrowind I decided to install both LoKKen and Julan. I completed Julan's quest first and took the romance path. Since I really don't have the heart to hurt Julan I want to simply keep Wulfren as a friend. In experimenting, though, I've noticed that Wulfren only acquires Companion Share when you follow through with the marriage plans at the point where you obtain the wedding outfit from Agnete and he asks you if he looks OK for the ceremony or whether he should wear something else. Of course, I didn't save because I don't actually want to marry Wulfren this time around, I was just trying to figure out how I could get his Companion Share feature to trigger without marriage. He seems happy enough to accompany me, but if I'm going to have him fighting nasties with me, I'd like to be able to repair his equipment from time to time. (Translation: I sort of want to have my cake and eat it too ) Laurenna, on the other hand, has Companion Share without a problem. Is this WAI, or have I missed doing something important?

There is a reason why Wulfren doesn't have companion share from start, it's related to some items you are not supposed to take and abuse (I think you probably know what I'm thinking of). He should get companion share eventually, if I recall it correctly talking to him after giving the mead free should do this (if you keep the friendship path, the mead quest is what triggers many things that is else triggered by the wedding).

On a similar note about Wulfren, is there a way to get his telepathy ring as a male? I'm not marrying Laurenna since I really want Wulfren around so I tried adding the telepathy topic but that only worked for Laurenna, so I'm not sure what I need to do to trigger to get him to give me his telepathy ring. Thanks for the help
