I love Vilja. No really... I love her. However, she keeps saying, "It would be nice to have somewhere where I can wander when I'm at home ...bla bla bla" I have all of your cottages as well as Ailswell and right after I had her wander all day long she came into the house and said it again....shouild I break up with her??? what does she want when saying this?

I believe this means she needs to be told of a nearby outdoor area to wander. Separate from telling her, "this is our new home." I remember there is a way in dialog to tell her, something like "This is a nice place to wander" but I forget the exact wording and the location within the dialog tree.

Yes, once you have decided upon a home, you need to show her where she can go and wander in the afternoons when she is at home. Just bring her to a nice place outdoors, choose the topic "About this place" and tell her that this is a nice place to wander. She should be happy as a songbird, and whenever she is at home and in wandermode, she will take a stroll outdoors every day when it's not raining.

So..then...I should just go now and kill something? Thanks so much. Been asking this question for a few years now, just finally got around to it. Cheers PS. Love your work and hoping for new companion in Skyrim. Perhaps great great grand daughter. She can own a pie shop selling a secrete strawberry pie recipe when you meet her

I'll guess the quest with the clanfear claws, as that's the one that drove me nuttiest. Actually, no, it was the one for the green stain shelf mushroom thingies (as opposed to the green cup mushroom). Arg. this oblivion wiki <-- has some of the locations where they can be found

Well, it could also be from the new quest which allows her to make better potions.

I had fallen for the vixen Vilja a few years back so I somewhat ignore most of her idiosyncrasies. I plan on playing Skyrim after this summer however, recently a new mod called "Colourwheels LOD project part01 v1_1" caught my eye and I decided to reinstall TESIV and give it another go around. Besides the obvious must have playing mods, Companion Vilja was a no-brainer. I am now happily being driven crazy again Vilja said something on the lines of "I get the feeling you are not telling me your true relationship with Eyja, maybe someday you will tell me...bla bla bla..." as if there is some storied past relationship. What is she getting at here? Cheers

Those green shelf caps lol...too funny and yo couldn't use the magic chest to duplicate them! (rrr... I better start collecting those.)

Sorry for the late reply! That's the quest, to make her improve her skills in making potions. Too much ingredients, I'm using the chest in Mages Guild Tower to duplicate them. I stopped when she needed the minotaur horns o.O

Vilja says," I have this feeling that Enja is more than just a servant to you. One day I hope you will tell me the whole story." What does this mean when she says this? meh

I think that line is referencing the Romancing Eyja companion mod. The mod builds upon the maid you hire for the Skingrad house.
