Vilja freezes when I try to give her bottle to her

Started new game and updated everything including Vilja and the new addon.

Meet Vilja as normal, go to get the bottle and do so as normal. But when I try to give it to her the game freezes either before I can give it to her or right after. I have to reboot the computer to get out of the freeze.

I have played with Vilja before and never seen this problem.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Update:
Reloaded yet again and this time after the thief seems to give me the bottle and the quest changes from 'find the thieves' to 'give the bottle to Vilja', I neither show the bottle in my Inventory or am able to give the bottle to Vilja as that is not an option in my speech menu with her. Also, Journal shows the ''give the bottle to Vilja' quest as incomplete. I have never had this problem with the previous version. Help!

It has to be something local, as no-one else has reported this in +8.000 downloads since April 30.
The question is what it could be.
There has been no changes to the part where you give her the bottle, it's exactly like it was before. So this can not be the problem.

You say you reloaded, but have you tried to revert to a save before you picked up Vilja?

Are you using a replacer that replaces the bottles in Skyrim with new models?

Thanks a lot for the info, it gives me a place to start. Vilja is just Basic to playing Skyrim.
