Hello,
This is my first post on this forum but I think I've placed it in the right topic. As the title said, I have lost Ra'Zehn's flute somehow. I have no idea where I left it but as it is an item that can be dropped I am afraid I have let Vilja sell it after hasting through my items on what I don't need. The problem is that I obviously can't give it to Ra'Zehn and therefore the quest Vilja's Missing Flute is now frozen.
I really have no clue on what to do but since the whole Vilja mod is one of my favorites I really hope one of you people here may know the answer. I'm too far into this character already to roll-over a previous save file from when I still got the flute and rolling over Vilja whole is actually pretty much out of the question too.
So, I'm stuck.
I've tried adding the flute through the console by opening the Vilja mod in the Creation Kit to find the id but my game didn't recognise it. Not even when I've changed the first few numbers of the item (through the console) to match my own load order.

Hi Leto, please open the console and click on Vilja. Remembert the first two digits of Vilja's ID. These two digits will replace the "XX" in the following ID. type in the console: player.additem XX056FEC 1 press Enter and leave the console Now you will have Ra'Zehns flute again and the quest will go on.

Thank you for the reply but my game just said 'Compiled Script Not Saved!' or something in that line. I have no flute back.

Thank you for the reply but my game just said 'Compiled Script Not Saved!' or something in that line. I have no flute back. Well, if you get this message then you must have made a mistake 1)with the console open you must click on Vilja and make sure that it is Vilja, who you have selected and not a mist-beam object or a fog object of the game. Vilja should have an ID that looks like: XX0012c4. XX is a variable number for every game that shows the place of the load order in which Vilja's mod is. In my game I have her mod at the fith place so my Vilja has the ID 050012c4. It would be wrong if you type XX0012c4. 2) the command for the console is: player.additem XX056FEC 1 this means there is a "dot" (.) after player and "additem" starts directly after the "dot" (.). Then there is a space. After that you insert the two digits which are specific for your game (in my case it would 05, in your case it will be different and it may even be letters) and directly after these two digits you write 056FEC. Next is a SPACE! And after the space follows the number "1" that tells the game that it is 1 (one) flute which should be added to the player's inventory. Press Enter and close the console and you'll get a notification "Ra'Zehn's Flute added". It definitely works I have tested it and did it just now again.

VICTORY!!! Haha, thanks man! It indeed worked. Also thanks for explaining in detail in how to do this. Of course I'm familiar with the console but this was purely my bad. I had read your previous post wrong. I must have missed the fact that I had to click on Vilja herself. Now I got that flute back. Thanks a bunch!

Actually, technically, the load order always starts at 00 - this will be assigned to the Skyrim main file. You won't see this in the data files list. You can get the actual load order of a file by clicking on data files in the start menu, then counting from the top. Active files will be ticked (have an x in the square box) while files you're not running but have installed won't. (I have, for example Dragonborn installed, but am not currenly running it)Only count the files you are running.
The file at the top of the load order should be Dawnguard.esm (if you have this expansion. I don't) Second will be Hearthfire followed by Dragonborn. (if you have those expansions, of course) It's important that the expansions are listed in the order they were released, else you may experience weird errors occur without warning. It's also recommended that you install the unofficial patches, made by modders, that fix bugs not addressed by Bethesda.
As I don't have Dawnguard, Vilja is the fourth file in my load order. For you this may be different depending on which expansions you have installed and if you have installed the unofficial patches for them.
This was just an alternative way of getting the load order of an expansion or a mod. Clicking on an item from said expansion or mod, as desribed by Wolf, is the other method of obtaining the order of the file. The numbers in the load order are, of course, hexadecimal as with all the other numbers you get and enter in the console. Thus the 10th item is 0A and the 15th 0F and the 16th is 10, etc.

Great that it worked, Leto and thanks, Wotan. By the way, another way to get the firt two digits of Vilja's ID is to open the console and just type "help Vilja". Then you will also get the ID of the most mod specific contents including the ID of NPC-Vilja herself.
