Hi Emma! I just wanted to take a few minutes to let you know how much I LOVE the Vilja mod! I love your voice and sexy accent - don't let ANYONE tell you otherwise...they're just jealous The voice work done by the "professionals" is wooden to say the least and I've enjoyed your quest line the most. The amount of work and effort that went into this mod is astounding - just the interactions with other follower npc's blew me away. Bethesda really should hire YOU. When I read that some people were critical of your voice and all the work you did I just HAD to register and post - I couldn't believe that people could criticize a FREE mod and one that puts the other game avatars to shame. Again...thank you so much for sharing this gem! Your fan, Baltar

Thank you so much for taking the time and write . Yes, it has been discouraging when people have said that my voice is too squeeky, too muffled, too young, too old, too high-pitched, too low-pitched, too loud, too quiet, too non-american, too scandinavian, too german and too russian (!), and in particular when some have said I have not been "acting enough", as for me "acting" is the same as not being genuin (like low-quality american soap operas on the telly). But there have also been people supporting me, people saying they wouldn't want Vilja any other way than what she is or with any other voice, and I'm glad for this because else I Think I would have returned to only mod for the previous Elder Scrolls games. Which would have been a shame, as so much love and devotion has gone into Vilja in Skyrim, not only by me and Amgepo and Wolf/Lycanthrops, but also from all others involved in her; Kindainappropriate who wrote all the lute Music, playtesters, voice-actors and so on. Hope you will continue to have fun with Vilja for a long time to come - we'll probably keep on tinkering on her for a long time to come

Emma, I agree with Baltar, I think your voice is "just right", makes me want to meet you for real, just to see the face behind all the dialog I've had with Vilja, all back to Oblivion days. No worries...I'm married ( quite happily ) I'm not making a stalker statement Don't become discouraged when you have those that critique you over such things. One, this is a free mod! One that has seen YEARS of refinement with a huge amount of labor and love ( of the mod ), put into making Vilja what the mod is today. For every poster that gives you a hard time, I am sure there are MANY silent users, that never post that like Vilja and her voice...just as she is. Don't change that...it's what makes Vilja so different and so much better than most of those lifeless "beauty" followers, that for many are just eye candy with very little personality. In other words, they may look great, but many are just dull, boring meat shields. Not so with Vilja, testimony to the fact she is one ( if not the one ) best companion ever made for Oblivion / Skyrim. For that matter, probably the best companion mod ever created...for any game ever made.

Hello Emma, I just want to add that I agree wholeheartedly with both baltar and falion1. This is the best mod I've ever played, and I've been around through Morrowind and Oblivion too. Also, the continuing effort you and the team have put into Vilja comes across clearly and is very much appreciated. I think your voice is perfect for Vilja. I'm one of those who wouldn't want Vilja any other way than she is or with any other voice. It is perfect for the Vilja mod and I love it. My wife totally agrees with me about your voice too, even though she doesn't play! Now that's an endorsement! Please never worry about your voice and your accent. [P.S. We are both British, so there's no regional bias.]

I wonder why people are nit-picking about anything with Vilja. You gave her a distinct personality, probably putting maaaany hours into this project and so I think everybody should accept Vilja as she is. I mean I would not critize anybody I want to befriend and go thru extremely dangerous adventures because of her / his voice. What I wanted to say originally: I just read thru "100 uses for a Falmer Ear" and it had me laughing out loud. Guess Terry had his hand in this one? Normally I turn off the sound when playing Skyrim because of those repetitive voice samples, but with Vilja I am very eager to hear what she will say next.
Highest regards, mewgull
