With Constance in tow, and the main game completed, I made the mistake of going to Solstheim, stumbling around in the snow for a while, then letting that horses rear end DLC give me Morrowind burn out. That said, the rather experienced and well equipped PC and her glass armored Constance companion are once more in the mages guild hall surrounded by huge stacks of potions and well equipped with implements of destruction are ready to finish the rest of the game. That is, all the stuff we skipped such as dungeon crawls - nearly all have gone unexplored, and considering adding some of the major mods. MAJOR MODS as in Open MW, Tamriel Rebuilt and so on. BUT I do not want to install mods that are 1. prone to corrupting the game and 2. dedicating my Morrowind time spent nursing and coddling a mod instead of just out roaming with Constance. So suggestions sought there. STABLE mods only. Next on the agenda is the side quests, almost none of which have been done outside the main quest. Taking apart the Sixth House is on the agenda, and I suppose kicking Dagoth Urp's butt probably in order. No rush there. Lots of other activities - which is where this post comes in. Suggestions. What quest lines have you found the most interesting? We are looking for aesthetics and intrigue here. The duet are a pair of more than lethal tanks so combat isn't a major item of interest. Picking flowers and yummy screenshots are much more important. So where do you think these two psycho-kittens should unleash their particular flavors of chaos? The more ridiculous suggestions the better. PS We could really use some nicer clothes too. Suggestions for a mod there? PPS The fates were not kind to Constance. She looks great in glass armor. But for some reason we have yet to find a cuirass for her. Dozens of play hours and nothing. Glass cuirass has vanished from Tamriel. And tried and tested, she looks like a junk pile with any other cuirass. And so, Morrowind will eventually succumb to the kittens not so tender ministrations, one of which goes around topless, looking like some kind of a mental case refugee reject from the House of Earthly Delights.

Hello? Is there anybody out there?
Query. I have two installations of Morrowind. One blorked on the C: drive, one on it's companion Data drive E: Both are playable. The C: drive version is fully updated. I would like to move the updated version to the E: drive. Does anyone know what INI files will need to be modified?
And yeay. I finally found someone who sells glass armor. Full frontal pics of Constance are now possible!!

Create a new base install folder on the E drive (so you don't overwrite the install there), copy the contents of the C drive install over to that, then check any ini or cfg files for path errors. I don't think Morrowind requires any registry entries; if it does, search the registry for those pertaining to the C drive and edit them to point to the new E drive install. I recommend using Teracopy, much faster and more reliable than windows copy. I gave Constance the Dream Armor, this is equivalent to glass but invisible so you can see what she is, or isn't, wearing under it.

I found 5 Morrowind entries in the registry so I am making a back up of it before I live up to my old nickname Permanent Damage. Love that dress she is wearing! I have to get that!! Where can I find that? I can't find Dream Armor anywhere. I FOUND IT. It requires I become a Patron to see the web page. I've only found one .ini file. Are there others? Which Teracopy do you recommend for Win 7? I recently tried to install FO 4 and used Windows copy. COMPLETE FORKING DISASTER. Ended up wiping it out then used EaseUs back up to get a verbatim duplicate file folder. By the way, RE FO 4, I tried to install Llama's new mod of Heather. Since I don't have and can't get Steam here, when booting up the new FO 4 STEAM TURNS OFF CERTAIN MODS AND PLUG INS!!!!!! It has control over what you can and can't have, even when the Mod is free. Any ideas how to get around that? With my Morrowind character now all foofed up I went on a Rude Mountain expedition to raid Dragoth Urp's friends places. Two minor problems. Between Constance and the PC we went through over 400 arrows, mostly cliff racers, and Connie gets dead a LOT! Save the game every inch of the way. The BIG BIG BIG nertz to Morrowind is selling junk. I took inventory. I have over 2 million worth of hardware including about 50 items far far far above anything any shop owner can afford. So I now have piles of affordable stuff lying on various shop floors all over Morrowind. `120,000 arrows at the archery store, 290 diamonds at another and so on. I could probably spend a week just cashing in all the trash. And do I ever need money. I pay the trainers full price. Shardie could buy the entire UnderSkar for what I've paid her.

I'm using Teracopy 3.8.5 in Win7 (https://www.codesector.com/teracopy), the free version does everything I need. I think that dress is from one of Canadian Ice' clothing mods; I'll have to rummage through the CS to check. (My Morrowind install dates from summer '07, lol.) You can try moving that game install out of the Steam folder, I've heard that works with many games. Steam is ridiculous, you cannot even download a mod from their site if you didn't purchase that game from them ...even though it's a fan created mod, nothing to do with Steam. Tired of shooting cliff racers and rats and crabs? Get the Passive Healthy Wildlife mod, it makes many animals non-aggressive unless diseased or you attack them first; does not affect creatures you expect to be aggressive, like kagouti, hungers, daedra. Constance is not too careful in battle and does get killed often; I complained that my mage character killed her so frequently that Emma made a small patch so Constance will teleport home to Gnisis when she takes a certain amount of damage, place it to load anywhere after her main esp - con_hitteleport.7z (666 B) ; you will have to travel there, heal her, and get her to follow again, but it's better than saving repeatedly in case she gets killed, and is a sensible solution. Selling expensive items was always a pain in Morrowind, several options - Cheat, sell the item for whatever you can get then use the console to give yourself the balance. Find the Talking Mudcrab on an island in the southeast; he is a merchant with a decent amount of gold. Third is a PITA, but is what was recommended in many walkthroughs. Merchants will have whatever gold you give them til you leave their shop, so buy numerous small items from one til he has enough gold to buy your expensive item, then go sell those small items to other merchants.
BTW, for a glass cuirass, there is a full set of glass armor in chests in the barracks of the, if I remember correctly, Ghostfence compound; you will need good sneak ability, and the telekinesis spell helps, and keep an eye on the door, guards occasionally walk in and out of that end of the room.

Thanks much! I got so frustrated trying to find mods like those. Must check them out.
Now if only............ Play the game from word go with major effort put into Personality. And now up around level 20 all I hear everywhere I go is "I don't know where to begin. It's such an honor to meet you." Could Morrorwind ever use some improved dialogue.

Thanks! Nudity in Morrowind is near suicide. No way you can avoid getting hit now and then. Kind of funny in that Bethseda never noticed. They put all that effort and crap about power armor into Fallout 4 but you can play the entire game butt naked. I once made the trip from Balmora to Mar Gan and easily had over 100 attacks, some spawning almost at your feet. No way to avoid chugging potions. Or Constance the walking dead, now in full glass armor getting dead every 15 minutes or so. Compare to Squishy's triumph where in FO 4 she went through Arc Jet Systems naked and scored 31 synth kills. This included having to shoot Danse many times so he didn't steal any kills. I think she made that run five times to get it right. Most synth spawns, no Danse kills and no using any healing.
And I just trashed my game. Installed Morrowind reforested. It still runs but the graphics are awful. Beautiful if you don't move but at least 6 GB graphics card memory required if you don't want trees and grass suddenly disappearing or appearing. Time to copy my saved data folder over.

Oh I've been there. A contributing factor to my near abandonment of Morrowind was installing a mod that purportedly only improved tree and flower textures and added animated butterflies and birds, but it was poorly packaged and also contained dozens of default textures; all my custom textures for creatures were overwritten, and the master files had been lost to an HD issue a couple of years earlier. I had no desire to undergo the ordeal of starting from scratch to replace them; it is virtually impossible to ascertain how the texture maps to the creature's body just from the image, so you paint, go in game and take screenshot, exit, repaint, repeat as necessary to get final texture.

That sounds similar to my present mess. MGE and MCC have also messed things up. MGE is especially weird as you set what .esps to run in it but make certain they aren't selected in the data files. And with my junk graphics card I get this lovely view of distant forests then when I get closer it reverts to barren ugly generic textures. On the bright side, the trees are so thick on places the cliff racers can come down and bork you. But you can't shoot them either so Constance is in a continual state of panic. I found and bought her the full glass armor set. I had around 250,000 gold so I spent it all on training. Then sold a few dozen hyped up water walking potions making another 50,000 to buy trinkets with. I started the game playing for two weeks making better and better potions so I now have several hundred all over the floor of the Balmora mages guild. BTW, can you suggest a nice house I can take over that has lots of storage?

My "headquarters" has always been the "murder house" in Balmora; an early quest has you solve the murder of its owner, then it sits empty (except for his housekeeper) the rest of the game. I tweaked it a bit, adding a row of large cabinets down the wall by the front door, a NOM compatible kitchen, potted plants and a fountain in the bedroom, with more storage, and added a tower with alchemy lab and a balcony from which you get a bird's eye view of the town (and removed the body and the housekeeper). I just have to remember to disable the mod before starting a new character, then enable it after that quest. Was working on a basement but never finished it.
Another good place is Sorkvild's tower. Not much by default but can be made into a very nice home with plenty of storage.
Both of these, of course, require some work with the CS; which I enjoyed as much as the game. (I could zip mine but would take a while to check if any custom items were used, such as NOM items.)
I believe Emma and/or Grumpy made a nice home south of Balmora across the river, but I don't recall the name. Lots of space and storage, even "dummies" on which to display armor. Another decent place was "Dome House" ("Dome Home"?), don't recall how much actual storage it had, but it's easy to add cabinets with the CS, and i always liked those round buildings.
If your system doesn't choke on it you might like "Pearl Palace" by Korana, a gigantic place accessible only via its "travel agent". (My system back then gave a solid 40+ fps anywhere in game ...but 12fps in Pearl Palace.) It's available at Nexus, along with many of her other mods, including some clothing (https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/27167/ )

That's it! Thanks. Probably the first house mod I ever used, it served several characters (til I learned to use the CS ...and spent as much time with it as in the game).
