I was diving for Slaughterfish scales for Vilja in Lake Ilinalta, having effctively boiled the fish with some flame spells beforehand. Vilja and Sofia right behind my char in close formation. We had the scales and were idling for a moment in mid-water when Vilja suddenly screamed out: "Ouch, you stepped on my toes!" Errr, pardon me? I've had her say that when I thought I couldn't have because I was moving away from her. Once, I even questioned it out loud to the screen! Vilja walked up to me yesterday and stepped on My toe and, yep, yells at me, wtf?

I just discovered you can send Leifur on hunts. Immediately, there was a dead elk in Lakeview's entry hall

Well come on! Him dragging a dead elk into the Bannered Mare will be a priceless screenshot! I'd like to try installing him there but we lost Leifur to the Bottle Quest/Donkey Tail blues. I'll have to try Amgepo's reviving him trick again.

Leifurs' default home IS the Bannered Mare if you don't give him a new one. That's Viljas' start point so he defaults to it. I usually park him some place I never go, dogs in Skyrim are annoying to me.

Dogs in Skyrim are annoying, period! Somebody could make a mod giving more control over how dogs act. Maybe improve their personalities too. My other likes to have Barbas around, for target practice. He can lay any of the local wildlife to whale poop and while he is doing it he makes a great target.

More of a "Wow...er, what?" moment.
Vilja and my character were standing two or three paces apart while I was taking a screenshot of her, when this dark elf random NPC walked between us. Vilja immediately exclaimed "Ouch, you have stepped on my toe!" How the heck? She has never said that before in response to a NPC bumping into us, in many hours of play.

LMAO, I just watched a 3 part video of a guy that started to do a Vilja walkthrough ( It's about 5 months old ), he decided to spar with her thinking he could beat her easy. He raged for 10 minutes of the video running away from her about half the time as he kept trying to heal himself. She just kept taunting him and chopping him to pieces, when he ran she pulled her bow, ( And healed herself ). He wasn't negative about her at all, at least not seriously. But she sure surprised him. The tagline from his second video is..... All of Sweden's fury is personified in the viking warrior badass known as Vilja! Also... still mad about our duel.

That really sets Vilja apart in our book. She has her own agenda and her stats improve on her lines or so it seems. In our case, still specializing with the bow, this becomes painfully obvious. Vilja is near the top in one handed while the PC is still rookie. Vilja wins the practice fight within 3 seconds now. OUCH! And along those lines, a WOW or two. We entered liars retreat. There's some very heavy duty falmer in the first room. PC takes care of one then 2 warmongers are up in her face. YIPES! Well, Vilja's been practicing it seems. She charges past to confront the falmer. One falmer does that spin and fancy footwork thing to take a whack at Vilja, she has chosen of her own accord to no longer use her shield. The falmer gives her a good solid hit. Vilja rebounds a split second later, a lightning blast in it's face and some fancy footwork and slicing on her own. I was stunned. I had told her to go ahead and use her spells but she always switched to shield at close range. But not this time. Aela on her left, PC on her right with bows and Vilja had become a wrecking ball. A juggernaut mowing through the hapless enemies. That brings us to the newest very odd nertz. We had been carefully collecting various things to improve armor and weapons. We had chosen to not use potions at all. It took us about 100 hours of playing to get enchanting to 100, using up the very last grand soul gem on a silver ring to get there pant pant. Then we enchanted, using a mods non slot items, 10 pieces of equipment with smithing. The plan was to make all major pieces of armor the same value by wearing or not wearing certain items. MAJOR FUSSING BALANCING ACT! Armlets and stockings and bracers and on and on. So we got together all the materials and made 5 complete sets of assorted armors and a vast assortment of weapons, each having the same rating. Now, there seemed to my deranged imagination a certain friction between Vilja and Aela. Leave it at that. I ignored it. Okay! Ready. The big plan. I loaded each character in turn with ALL the smithing improved gear, they equipped what they wanted, then I took the unused back and gave it to the next character and so on. HUH? ? Vilja opted for the ancient Nordic armor Aela usually wore with black stockings and other stuff. Aela opted for what Vilja had been wearing. All the green stuff. Bodice armor, green trousers and so on. They switched! But even weirder, Sindra opted for fur skirts, trousers and so on, and the topless foresworn outfit that Vilja had insisted on wearing recently. Vilela and Aelja and Sindra the Barbarian? So I took them all on a romp back to Liars Retreat. I couldn't tell them apart at a glance. If Vilja ever gets Aela to teach her face painting it's going to get even worse. And of course Sindra who has chosen, for reasons best known to herself, to go for the total Conan's groupie and bride hopeful, a raging bare chested barbarian style wielding a two handed Daeadric warhammer! I'll try to get a screen shot I don't have to censor of the group. It took two months to get same value equipment but just for the surprise value of them having a choice as to what to wear and wield, it's highly worth the trouble! Anyway the best WOW so far. A bandit chief is suddenly up in Vilja's face. Aela has moved up from the left. Vilja gives him a blast of lightning as Aela puts an arrow in his face followed by Vilja doing a pirouette WHACK! and he's down. Aela: 'And that is that!'. Vilja: 'Will you please be quiet!'. The cross-dressers Why did Aela just switch from green to black trousers when they left the house? Why is Vilja wearing the stockings and fur skirt and not her gauntlets?? Why isn't Aela wearing her fur skirt and what happened to her hat?? And why is her weapon of choice after the bow a wolfcry sword and why has Vilja just switched from wolfcry sword to daedric? I guess I better go get Sindra out here though I dread to think what changes she has made. (We are randomly handing out and rotating the unclaimed weapons and gear)

What a pretty scene.
We just started relaxing at home and Vilja asked me about children. I told her someday, she agreed and said perhaps two or three someday.
She then turned and walked away while looking at me singing, "Vem kan segla förutan vind". Such a pretty thing.... Exceptional timing...
English Translation...
Who can sail without wind, Who can row without oars, Who can be separated from her true love without shedding tears?
I can sail without the wind, I can row without oars, but not part from my dear without shedding tears.

Quite a small detail, this, but it did surprise me - just paid off the woman at Valtheim towers as I want to get Bloody Maurice Jondrelle to the Sanctuary in one piece, so I was running backwards to make sure we all came past without him deciding to get all 'have a go hero' and pick a fight with the bandits after all, when Vilja says something like "hey, it makes me nervous when you do that, you might trip! Keep your eyes on the road, please!" *looks down at feet, mumbles 'sorry, Vilja'*

I put a horned helmet into her inventory to use in combat and after the next fight she said something like: "I don't want a horned helmet, they make me look like a cow! Here, you can have it back." and gave it back to me. But she did use it and didn't turn into a cow, proof:
