Vilja's attacks are pretty long affairs and once triggered won't abort. About 3 seconds after the PC put away her weapon Vilja once came storming in and trounced the submitting NPC. She makes up for it sometimes by standing idly by, staring into space, while the PC fights for her life.

Lol, sometimes... It depends... I have seen her finish off some, and let some go.. Hit them when they are down Vilja.... www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6hzqTFgpwMPart of an Insane Trailer I never finished.. That showed off her magic and Mad Skills.. OK! This makes me wonder, if I should keep let her fight with heavy armor and melee weapons as my tank She also got a special Vilja's Bow now, which I kind of want to take from her to force her into melee...

In fairness I had her finely tuned, and had her magic skills turned up to 11 through enchantments.... When she is set up that high, you basically get in a fight, put away your weapons and get out of the way...You can then watch her throw 20 Firebolts augmented by Impact and blast enemies off their feet into Oblivion, pardon the pun...

Way up on a promontory of a Nordic ruin, Hag's End. Vilja strolls up behind the PC and shoves her off. As she starts the plummet to her doom Vilja remarks, "I wish you wouldn't take so many chances..."

Nice strategy for peace of mine. Your worrying poor Vilja so if your dead then hey no worries. And there will be a fun wake later................

Little Ms lightning fingers stabbed at the keys during that episode. Only using one hand she couldn't get a life passing before your eyes screen shot but she did get a quick save game and hit the ~ a few inches above the PC piling in on her face. "Tada! I'm adding this to my top ten dumbest deaths in Skyrim!"

Fast travelled from Riften to my extended Lakeview Manor. Vilja didn't follow us, got lost, or simply decided to go on her own adventure of butterfly hunting. Anyways just disappeared. The map showed her marker somewhere deep in the southern mountains. I wasn't even sure if we could go there. Set out on a rescue mission anyways. Finally found some hidden path that lead us as close to her marker as possible. The place is called Arcwind Point. Chaconne and I killed an army of undead and an elder dragon. Suddenly Vilja ran to us from the darkness. wat? has she been snatched by a dragon and carried here?

/NSFW We just got the Private Tower in Helgen and I thought, hey lets lie down while Vilja could read a book to me. As soon as I ask Vilja to read a book, she would strip naked (Begger Prince). /NSFW

Are you supposed to wear clothes while reading? Will socks do? A hat? Does carrying a fishing pole exonerate you from clothing mandates?

Are you supposed to wear clothes while reading? Will socks do? A hat? Does carrying a fishing pole exonerate you from clothing mandates? Socks would be nice I think she is confused about Helgen. Even though I told her "this is our new home", she would wear her armour but not the gloves or shields because it is indoors among friends.

The Helgen mod is nice, isn't it? I wasn't prepared to have a residence landed in my lap. Then I followed that up with Wyrmstooth and got yet another home. That is another well done mod.
Vilja is different. She has her own way of doing things. Honestly, no reason to wear clothes around the house. Her call. most recently she has taken to changing into clothing when in towns of her own accord. I don't use her wardrobe functions. She has a huge load of scripts and interactions with her surroundings that seems to make her, her AI, unique.
Instead of troubleshooting Vilja I've put my time and effort into keeping the game and saves as clean as possible. That has served to allow Vilja to be herself, run her scripts, and not get stuck. That's all that counts. With mods like Helgen there is always the possibility of things missing or overdone. As long as Vilja keeps doing her own thing without repetitions it seems okay. Check to make sure she responds appropriately in vanilla settings and accept her interesting personality.
One thing that really comes through with Vilja, especially when the game is running glitch and sporg free. She has a cast iron smile personality. She can get feisty or grumpy but that Vilja, determined air and cheerfulness always shines through. It can often be subtle but it is always there. When you have a lot of other followers, Vilja really shines. She's the rock, the mainstay, and the others are the ones that do weird stuff.
Just retuirned from Soul Cairne with M'rissi, Sophia, and GMC Serana, Great Moaning Cow, in tow. The kids are playing, Sophie is having problems with her fox, Leifur is sitting in a display case, Tindra still isn't convinced the PC is the Dragonburp, M'rissi went to take a nap, Sophia is trying to eat everything in the house, Sindra is sweeping the dining table in front of Sophia, GMC is moaning about getting indoors, Vilja is cooking and her dad is out on the porch taking in the view. Everything works fine. Time for the PC to do some long overdue chores. I think I'll add Inigo to the wash though we don't like a male in the house. Maybe can park him out there with Dad.
Also need to update and spiff the batch files. I have a summon for all followers using them: Console: bat <NPC>. The bat files are PRID <NPC ID> moveto player
Very handy no muss no fuss when we get scattered all over a dungeon. PS Never use it or any summon when the NPC is not in idle mode. Summoning an NPC that is in sneak or combat can cause the weird to descend.

Haha, I love the inn and Vilja has some nice songs to sing, unfortunately all those performances are without cloth on. We did just reset her FormLists with the fix, because she would not wear a new armour for her wardrobe. So everything should be in order and she changes nicely in other pubs or towns, just not in Helgen. Even in the private tower she now puts on her cloth and reads books, plays music while dressed.

"Do you only see me as a sidekick or as a true companion?" Looked at objectively, with our game the PC is very much the sidekick. Left to my or Fudgeys own devices we just wander the countryside. It's Vilja's reminders (nagging) that get us back on track quest wise. Vilja is far more competent combat and magic wise, better at socializing, and keeps track of things much better than us players. Really, the sine qua non of our Skyrim.
