I just did a full nuke and pave on my hard drive and I'm trying to get all of my mods back. Somehow I missed backing up some of them.
I'm trying to find Become A Bard, but it's hidden on Nexus and deleted from Steam.
There's supposed to be another site where it was available, but I can't seem to locate it.
Can anyone help?

Nice idea! I swear, that girl has a voice like a hundred out of tune bagpipes. Which is really sad, because I love the pipes...

No. It's a stand alone program.
Check YouTube. Gopher has some excellent tutorials.
I'm doing the tutorial. It stops at having me do a download from Nexus telling me to use the NMM. I'm really confused. I don't have NMM installed. Here's the link to Gopher's installation video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYY1OV2_ZTk
You don't need NMM. Choose manual download, then select Download with Installer.
The Installer is a program specific to MO.
Change the default installation destination to your Oblivion folder.
Doing this will allow the MO to automatically detect the game it's being installed for.
If you want to use it for Skyrim, you have to do another download to your Skyrim folder as each installation of MO only works for one game.
Hope this helps.

So I have to have NMM in order for it to work? No. It's a stand alone program.

Might I suggest the Mod Organizer?
It installs *nothing* to your Skyrim files. ... Does this also work for Oblivion? (Much as I looked forward to it, I shall probably never play Skyrim.) Oops... Forgot what section of the forum I was in...
Not sure if it'll work with Oblivion or not. Possibly check the Nexxus to see if there's an Oblivion version?

Might I suggest the Mod Organizer?
It installs *nothing* to your Skyrim files. Instead, it keeps all mods separated and builds a "virtual data folder" into which everything is installed and run from. This keeps original Skyrim files from being overwritten, as also allows mods to be activated and deactivated at will, thus allowing for multiple game profiles.
It really saves a lot of headaches when troubleshooting conflicting mods.

Is it just me, or did that sound rather ominous?

Never been a big menu fan myself. I've always preferred having hotkeys programmed up to instantly access my most used functions and direct keyboard access to the inventory, etc. That being said, I've always found that moving / fighting with keyboard and mouse to be quite awkward, so I run a game controller.
Before Skyrim came along, I'd use an interface program like Joy2key to set up a hybrid controller / keyboard system. With Skyrim, it's either / or. Mutually exclusive.
Now that would be a great mod: something to override the toggle and allow both input systems simultaneously.
Back to the original subject, by not running SkyeUI, you cut yourself off from a lot of great mods that rely on the MCM. Personally, I don't find it a problem as I tend to "set it and forget it." I'm rarely in the MCM unless I'm trying to track down a problem.

I thought I'd better mention that summer activities, various commitments and my mother's health are to the fore at the moment, so I may be a little slow in contributing to this. Real life happens. And family comes first.

You should go find a dragon to test this new bio weapon.
The Geneva Convention doesn't apply in this case, I don't think.

As promised, here's pics of the Incredible Flying Vilja. It's being caused by the HDT high heels system that the Little Red outfit requires. I've got the height offset dialed as far down as it will go, and she still flies. Even when she's close to ground level (indoors, mostly) she's still floating a foot or two off of the ground. Maybe I should start calling her Vilja Cloudstrider...
