Tried to take SSE out for a spin last night. Problem is I did on a new rig I just got. (Old potato only handle Vanilla in low mode so not trying SSE there) New rig i7, 16 meg, SSD and 1070.
New rig and new game: too many variables at once for me. It told me to run SSE in low mode and didn't offer a setting to select my graphic's card. I could get it run in high but not Ultra. Graphics were jerky even in lower resolution modes. Shadows were weird etc. Glanced at Steam from advice and decided to wait till I was more comfortable with the new rig.
Backed off and decided to get legendary working instead, only one variable.
That is fine in Ultra so far.
Started cleaning that and found out that TES5edit is tiny in 4K resolution. Had to set the resolution down to what my potato uses to see what I was doing.
Had headache and went to bed.
Now Nexus is forcing manual downloads only and for some reason NMM is not handling manual install files correctly. Guess I go back to the potato and compare how that version of NMM is handling manual down loads.
Edit: Stupid me, they just reversed the tabs in NMM and confused me. Manual installs works just the same between 0.63.1 and 0.63.3
I feel a new headache coming on.

Is this meme edition compatible with Vilja? Not till ported to SSE. Give the dev. team some time. Don't know if anyone has tried a loose file version, like people are doing with Sofia.

Two bits I picked up.
CK Release is next week:
Darkone on Nexus is reporting that they are trying to actively monitor new posts to the SSE mod section and remove stuff that has problems, because some people, are just assuming there stuff will work, or are volunteering downloaders to unknowingly to test if it works.

True or not someone (one of my housemates) told me, "That is because there parent's bought them the computer, but they have to buy the game themselves."

...That Bethesda and/or Steam was price gouging because they didn't offer the Legendary Edition for 1.99. I have my gripes against both, but one thing you can't blame them for is wanting to make money. That is what companies do, and if their product commands a price higher than 1.99 then they should by all means charge it. I hate saying it but when I see that I want to say "Go get a Job." I don't because A: I become a troll. B: That isn't a reality for some people.

Momentum for transitioning the community to SSE appears good. With USSUP (USLEEP), alternate start, cutting room floor, etc being there as the curtain rises. We all know, I hope, that there will be sniping from purest camps for either version carping at each other for a long time to come, maybe forever.

Also, the offline mode isn't forever, Steam will, at some random future point, ask you to log in and play in online mode again to re-verify the game. Ahha, so if the person responsible for the houses cable bill doesn't pay soon. I will be back to playing DAO. (Finding a coffee shop to briefly log in at.)

And there is the issue - the developers are denying us a choice. On so many forums I hear from people as opposed to Steam's policies as I, though perhaps not as vociferously, and yet "but I wanted (insert game name here) and Steam is the only source, so I have a Steam account". I find that incomprehensible. If by developers you mean the company like Bethesda or Origins. Yes, they are. If you meant the real developers, the ones in the trenches doing the coding, thinking, and sweating; Not so much. One outlet companies may gain in the sort run but will lose in the long run, but I figure they don't think they will be in business that long and someone else will have to pay the piper. On the other point, we all have to draw our own lines in the sands and pay the price for those stands. In your case you say you will forgo games that are only available through one source. Bravo. Personally, I take other stands, one I am willing to go to prison or jail for push comes to shove. Bravo for me. Fortunately, morality is a personal thing which helps keep us unique individuals, adding creativity and synergy to the world. It is hard for me to conceive what is like in the heads of people who never take a personal stand that they have to pay the price for, but always want others to pay the price for.

As I was cleaning a save to decrease the lag I was experiencing, I had some thoughts on your problem of not being able to get at your stuff in the chests. Would the following work?
1. Go to some place you don’t care much about and summon a few NPC from your lagged house.
a. If the NPC doesn’t have there own summon, you could use “Are you There” or the console.
2. Leave them there.
3. Repeat until your house is less lagged and go in and rescue your stuff.
