Thanks, better than the rank rumor I see everywhere else. People endlessly repeating the same unverified information.

.... Actually Steam pissed me of ... and I won't buy from them anymore. Now I'm not saying everyone else should boycott Steam, we all have our own ethics and principles and levels of tolerance. I find Steam's (and EA/Origin's and Ubisoft's) policies to be intrusive, invasive, unnecessary, and unacceptable, so none of them will receive a penny from me; but I realize, and do not care, that I am in the minority. But logically, IF, as I am told, you can run Steam games in "offline mode" (in perpetuity?); IF, as I am told, you can disable the datamining aspect of their software; IF, as i am told, you can disable the auto-updating .....why force the installation of that software at all? Make it optional. I haven't had problems with Steam, but I if they were a brick and mortar store and I had a choice, I wouldn't do business with them. There online reviews and rating with the BBB are not great. So far I haven't had problems playing off line. Someone failed to pay the cable bill, I've been off line at home and have had no problems with not running the frame. Which does NOT stop Steam updating itself, just it isn't polling my game all the time.

Doubt they would stop sales of a product once it is released, why turn away free money. They may not promote or put much effort into pushing the product.

I've been wondering how well steam does on releases like this? Unless your dying for a quick peak there is really no rush. I'm not planning on downloading the first day. I don't go to Wallmart on Christmas morning, I hide on Black Friday, vote by mail, and I don't download when the peak rush is.

My experience with computers and software is it is NEVER that easy. Fortunately cynics and pessimists can be wrong, and I may be pleasantly surprised.

So far I have not been able to install ENBoost. It crashes my system at start up. Pretty sure it's my fault, but some how I just can't figure out the instructions. Everyone says something different. Besides I have a new machine on order, and I'll figure out for that machine.

550, don't know how accurate that is since I have the Steam Overlay turned off to improve performance.

You might try installing "Crash Fix" don't know it will help. Crash fix requires an other app that preloads fixes before the game loads. Chiefly a fix that changes how Skyrim loads memory, using Malloc functions instead of Skyrim block loading scheme.

Does the save load into Savegame Script Scalpel or Save Game Script Cleaner? Are you using Crash Fix and the the memory preloader?
I don't have a lot of experience with this, but a little.

Hi Thank you, naramoore. where does this name come from? mine was a character in a fantasy book i enjoyed. Nara Moore was a character I used in a live Shadow Run RPG. It’s a pun on the famous Edger Allen Poe poem the Raven.

User the reply button not the quick reply button. There is an icon for adding pictures. If you use the quick reply button you need to reopen the reply with edit and then use the icon.
I am sure there are direct coding methods, but I doubt your looking for those kinds of answers.

Sounds like one of Become Jarl quests.
This was probably added after doing "Elisif's Tribute"
If so, you need to do five miscellaneous quests and tasks for people in Solitude and Haafingar.
When done you can become Thane and purchase Proudspire Manor.
