I've found the solution to the problem.
On your C drive there will be a config file that lists all your downloaded content. You will have to make sure that SkyUI_SE.esp is listed in there and has a * in front of it meaning that it is activated. Well, now we know what to do when a mod doesn't appear in your game.
Thanks to the post I found on Steam:
Goto: C:\Users\[your name]\AppData\Local\Skyrim Special Edition\plugins.txt and open plugins.txt (notepad will do). Ensure your SkyUI is enabled by placing a * to its left as shown below. *SkyUI_SE.esp you'll notice all your mods have an *

From what I can tell...
Skyrim version 1.6.342.0.8 SKSE version 2.1.4 rel 6
The script extender is running without problem. It's SkyUI that won't appear in the game. From what I can read about it, Bethesda's in-game mod organizer breaks SkyUI. I got no idea how to get past it. Other mods, not relying on SkyUI install just fine.

I've been trying to get this up and running so I may switch to the 64 bit version of the game but I can't get things to run properly. I used to have issues with SKSE not running but I've downloaded the latest version and it runs smoothly. Now my problem is that SkyUI refuses to run. I don't get any error messages or anything. SkyUi just fails to run. I've tried both the 5.1 and 5.2 versions for Skyrim SE but neither works. I'm out of my wits about what to do here.
It's probably worth mentioning, I haven't updated to Anniversary Edition - that is the paid version. The free update patch is installed.

Tindra comes with a default outfit that cannot be changed by normal means. What I did to get around this is that I got an in-game body changer and changed her body.

This seems to be the problem: "plugin D:\Program\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\SKSE\Plugins\\skee64.dll (00000001 skee 00000001) disabled, fatal error occurred while loading plugin (handle 2)" But how to solve it :-/ One thing to check is that Windows perhaps blocked the SKSE file you downloaded...right click on file...properties...unblock if needed. Yeah... Seems that after I got my internet back and had to install my antivirus anew a lot of files got blocked, I mean hundreds and hundreds of them, because they're considered to originate from a different computer. It's gonna take me ages to go through each and every file in all my games -- so far I've discovered this in both Skyrim versions. I reckon it's the same in all my games that run mods.

Did you look at the SKSE logs? Mine are located under Libraries\Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\SKSE. This seems to be the problem: "plugin D:\Program\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\SKSE\Plugins\\skee64.dll (00000001 skee 00000001) disabled, fatal error occurred while loading plugin (handle 2)" But how to solve it :-/

I downloaded and installed the 2.0.19 version from Silverorg. Tried to run the skse loader in the game folder but it crashes.

I can't figure out what the problem is. The script extender crashes before launching the game. Running the application there's just a brief moment the window opens and closes, then nothing more. I've looked all over trying to find some useful information. I've checked the firewall and antivirus to see if the application might've been blocked or quarantined but can't find anything. It's all very confusing.

For some demented reason I became convinced I had to kill the Bosmer Umbra inside. It didn't make sense. Why would they make a game where this twerp automatically killed me in one whack? Something had to be broken. I gave up after two or three weeks then a year or so of playing the game I got the quest to plonk that Umbra chick Umbra is a male Orc. I guess you had some mods in there? I reckon it can be difficult to tell the difference, or simply forget after all this time.

I think the girls really need to get over their fear of 'pooting' in public. They're so full of gas they appear to be ready to burst any moment - and that would be a real shame. Better to let one rip, even if it's embarrasing and might smell bad.

I always manually install mods, then use LOOT (Load Order Optimizer Tool) That can be used for Skyrim, Fallout 3, FNV and Fallout 4.
