Does your Oblivion crash for no apparent reason? Chances are its cell buffers are full. This handy mod cleans-out the cell buffers on a regular basis. The one we found that works best on our gaming system was the 'on cell loading' version (set to 5 cells). www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/9139/?Setting it to 1 or 0 can interfere with game-play...not recommended. But at 5, my wife and I enjoy hours of trouble free play. This along with the new OBSE Engine Bug Fixes have pretty much eliminated random crashes.

Pretty much a standard for Oblivion these days is... NoMaaM Breathing Idles www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/40462/?Brings both the PC and NPCs to life...they look rather dead without them. Three types to choose from.
These mesh with the NoMaaM BBB animations (fore's) and various BBB clothes and armor like Spicy Fox's stuff on page one. Once working together, female PCs/NPCs really enjoy a marked improvement. Natural movement rather than like she just emerged from a frozen meat locker. Male PCs & NPCs also breath...but they obviously don't...errr....bounce...the same way. Follow the requirements. The standard Oblivion skeleton needs to be replaced with a modern character skeleton like Growlf's. Easy to do...but back-up your original and all the usual jazz. www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/37596/?Once one has these installed and working properly, one can experiment with numerous other mods that rely on them. Pretty much zero effect on FPS.

Oh lordy, as the owner of some fairly large breasts, breathing does not make your breasts bounce/flap up and down like that (1:20) and frankly if it did, it would be painful... You know how dudes wince if they see someone get kicked in the nuts? Similar feeling watching the latter half of that video. (See also a video I watched where the person's Skyrim character was wearing steel armour (albeit skimpified) and I swear to god her boobs were swaying in the breeze like balloons...)
Still, I like the actual breathing part, will check out the mod!

Still, I like the actual breathing part, will check out the mod! With BBB, there are variations, as well. They're actually meant to work together. You won't be disappointed. My wife has similar...errr...issues...and she won't go back to non-BBB. But, make sure you get the replacement skeleton I linked to. A skeleton such as that has extra 'bones' that allow realistic physics/havok movements in all areas...not just up top. All you need is the correct (.kf) files installed to get additional movements/idles. Not all bodies are created equal in Oblivion. Some were made with more care than others. With a mod like Set Body Reloaded, one can experiment with the variations. If you just drop new body meshes into your characters--->_male folder, every male or female, depending, will have the same body. Not the idea...

Yes, the combination at the start of the video was a lot more natural, in fairness, but where would be the fun in commenting on that? Blimey, I like the idea of being able to give different characters different body types, but I'm guessing/deducing that the mod is all nude? I run a pants-on ship (nothing againt nudey mods, just not my thing, although I will give the Roberts mod maker 10/10 for the 'flapping in the wind' option title in the installer I used...) so probably not ideal. Is there any way of just installing different body types per race? Like, my Roberts install has different... I think it's the normal maps or something, per race, so they look more or less muscular, but the actual body mesh is the same for all of them. Though tbh I'd be happy with something similar to that for female characters, so Nords could be stocky and Altmer willowy and whatnot.

Those are just the bodies in Set Body. BBB armor and clothes are separate...like the Spicy Fox stuff Emma linked to. If you investigate larger mods like LoversPK, you'll find files that carry a penalty for walking around nude like Lovers Cover-up. Some angry town guard will fine you for the first offense...jail after that. And speaking of prison...this one is pretty good. www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/12045/?

That's what we like, as well. Plus, using the console (the ~ key) or Construction Set, you can adjust a particular PC/NPC's scale to suit....a bit bigger...a bit smaller, etc.
In the console, the code is simply: click on the NPC/PC setscale + a number...eg setscale 1.05 <enter>

Yeah, I think the body/armour mod I use (EVE I think it's called, with a few other things over the top) has the option of BBB, I was more talking about different NPCs having different body types (e.g. Arren should totally be a little tiny buff dude while Fergus should be all lithe, Vilja should be sturdy and probably kind of busty whereas my Altmer girl looks a bit odd with E-cups, although I like the somewhat muscular look it gives to the arms and legs with the options I chose).
I think setscale changes height as well, ne? The vanilla heights are already different enough, especially if you play as an Altmer! I'd rather a weight slider. Mind you, even in Skyrim where there *is* a weight slider, there's scarcely any difference between 0 and 1 for female characters - Lydia should be buff, Faralda ought to be slight, and so on.

Race differentials are all the same in Oblivion. So if you want variation among Nords, for example, you can set it yourself. We're talking small differences. There is a body for each type you describe. Men, too.

Yeah, I think my not wanting nudity limits my options pretty hugely, given, like I say, I'm assuming that the set body spell mod thing is all or mostly naked?
I'm just wondering if there's some way of having, say, all the male Bretons having Robert's "slender athletic" and the Imperials having the "muscular athletic" and the Nords having the "bulky" body types, or whatnot? I'm assuming it'd need an .esp though, to point the different races to different locations for their body meshes, same as Robert's has if you have different normalmaps? And even then it'd probably not work for clothed/armoured chaps (or likewise for ladies), only the ones in their skivvies which basically = corpses...

If you're against nudity, you're out of luck. Every body comes as "nature" made 'em...except the stock Oblivion body.
But, don't misunderstand. Folks with Set Body are not all running around naked. Clothes/armor still go over the non-stock Oblivion bodies. Even ones that do not fit...as it were.
With Set Body other, you can assign bodies as you see fit. But, the clothes/armor will still be stock unless you install more clothes for those particular bodies. There are mods that dynamically adjust clothes to random body size if you search.
All things are possible in a 10 year old sim meant for modding.

Eh, I'm not against nudity, it's just not something I want in my own game, not least because my teen sometimes watches me play and would point and laugh if I was changing my character's clothes and a nipple was on view.
As I say, I have Robert's male (not the 'flapping in the wind' option - it even has a SELECTION of pants!) and EVE's version of HGEC (which has more options with pants on), far nicer than the vanilla bodies and with none of that hideous "grubby cloth diaper" look for the chaps. There's not a whole lot of time when anyone's in their undies in my game, but e.g. if I'm swimming with Vilja and Arren then Vilja wears her swimsuit and Arren, er, well, I tell him to take everything off and he does for a bit and then when my back's turned he's got his 'leisure suit' back on... Also after the Sanguine quest, I'll generally stick with running around in my pants (which, yes, admittedly that quest makes sense if you're genuinely stark bollock naked rather than mysterious permaknickers being intact - immersion and all that) until I get back to his shrine...
But my personal preference is that, unless I suppose I was playing someone who'd completely denude enemies for the lulz (like during one of the quests on my last playthrough my character was REALLY ANNOYED with whoever it was she was fighting - might have been Mannimarco's minions - and so she stripped all of them bare - except for their pants/diapers because I wasn't about to faff around changing my mods just for that), if I strip a fallen enemy of their armour, I don't have to see their dangly parts.
