Hello, first, for those that don't know me, I'm opening this topic to stop writting my long testaments on Vilja's threat at TESNexus. I don't open one in Bethesda foruns because I'm not really confortable there and I don't want to be in a hurry to finish what I decided to do. I was feeling the need to have a male companion that could be cool and have a more interaction with the other npcs (I use Vilja and Neeshka). I was using another one that was too much silent, and Vilja spoiled me too much with her chatter. I'm working on him right now, I decided to record myself his voice to have the freedom to add as many voice entries as I want. So, he would get my strong accent. I'm currently with some problems with the microphone too, so, until I'm able to improve my hardware here, I think people would get a boring noise if they play Oblivion too much loud. =( Actually this dishearten me because I'm a bit perfectionist and I'm sure there will be people that will want to see my head on a plate. I was about to record all his voices and maybe put him avaiable to upload for anyone interested to give me some support and beta test him, however, I got a throatache and I'm studying a bit more about voice acting and audacity. So, my plan to release something this weekend will have to wait.

@emma
About the voice entries, I was thinking, maybe one of them could hold the responses in the ESP, but the voice entries could be provided by each one. Like, mine would have his "Yes" in your file, but to listen to they would need to download mine with the mp3 in the right place at Vilja's folder.
Odd question: are you considering the possibility that a player who has a female character?
I also registered myself at TESAliance with the same nickname that I'm using here (sylar is an old nickname, I'm using Marek in my other activities now), I'll try to post something there when I have something better to show (maybe having him with a story-line at least). I've been exploring the place and found the voice workshops and other stuff very interesting there.

Yes, TES Alliance is a very good place, friendly helpful people and the scholar section is very nice.
I told you some things about how to remove noise in the other thread... turn off the lamps in the room, make sure your computer is on a desk with a thick wooden table top and wooden legs. If you have a desktop, try to wrap the computer in a pullover or someting while recording, and make sure it stands on solid wood. I'm using a laptop, myself, and it makes a huge difference where I have it placed while recording.
If you'd like to give me access to one of your recorded entries, I could see if I have any specific comments on the possible noise.
For a romance, you mean? Yes, of course. The entries I made (and deleted) were catering for both genders. I gnarl every time I run into a companion that think my female char is a male, I find it very irritating.

Oh, yeah, I tried what you told me and it reduced the noise I hear. I even changed the place of the metal board with several magnets that I had behind the computer, however, re-reading what you wrote, I didn't try the pullover, since I use a desktop. My throat is better now, and I've been cleaning my bedroom to reduce my allergy on dust and also reduce that effect on voice with the nose blocked. I'll try recording again later then I may upload a file, so you can give me any insight.
I checked companions Indiana James and Laura Craft and how they're good for any genre of PCCharacter. I was even checking James and I think that house with the wall separating the bedroom and the rest of the house very annoying, James blocked the door while I was exploring the place. And I also recall that there is an Indiana Jones dead in the game, LOL, instead of a heart-attack, his father could have gone into a exploration and never returned. hehehehe. Ah, do Pathgrid plays the same role as in Oblivion? Because the house isn't pathgrided. =P

His name is Indiana James, not Indiana Jones . I made this mod in summer 2002, two months after the release of Morrowind, and, seriously, I have considered removing it from my site as it's so outdated. However, Indy has some long-term friends who wants me to keep him available, so I'm doing this. The Morrowind only versions of companions are soooo lousy... you really need to get Tribunal and Bloodmoon in order to experience any of the newer mods around. So many scripting functions were added with these expansion that playing Morrowind without them is really... not at all the same experience.

LOL, I see. But keep poor old Indy around, or, if you ever have the inclination, try to update. He's funny anyway, I'm sure I'll use some ideas from him for my character.
I noticed a bigger amount of romanceable characters for Morrowind than for Oblivion, and until now, there is a very huge group or Morrowind Companions with something extra than in Oblivion (since most CM Partners that I saw don't have much story or personality.... ¬¬0)

Well, I'll tell you this... it's a LOT easier to make a romanceable character if you don't have to voice-act her yourself ;D.

Wow, beeing so addicted to Morrowind that I didn't stop to see my companion... ¬¬0 Actually I plan to add some of my adventures in Morrowind as part of the history of Fergus. =P
Sure, voice-acting makes the companion more human, what helps in immersion. I don't remember if I told you, but when I finished the first part of the Vilja's quest, I almost cried when... well, don't want to write a spoiler here. I already put myself in the shoes of the character (eventually he's my projection in the world anyway) and with your voice-acting I was really thinking what I would feel in that situation.
However, the huge amount of companions for Oblivion aren't voice-acted, Arren is a good example, I don't know any CM Partner that has his/her own voice either. Nothing would prevent a silent romance from other modders.
Well, probably I'll pick up my mod again when my Morrowind-fever eases off hehehe. Ah, is this topic properly placed in the forum? I read in the "Hi and Welcome" topic something about the "corner idea" or something like this.

Oh, it's a good place here! The Creative Corner is where members are sharing their own stories, drawings etc. WIP-mods belong here.

Whoa! Decided to use my threat to talk about this. Anyone tried this new companion: Dairanath Avari - male romance companion? LOL, since I'm not playing Oblivion, I didn't keep up wih my poor Fergus, I think it's time to try it out again (specially now, that college won't bother me and i'll have plenty of time around X-mas -- I even think that my X-mas will be boring again... last year, during New Year or X-mas, I don't remember well, I tracked all character in the game, killing everybody to see how much bounty my character would get and how much time he would spend in jail then... horrible). I'll upload some voice files so you guys can tell me if I'm crazy or the noise in my computer really sucks.

Right, I promise to listen to your voice files, I hope you'll continue on this I haven't downloaded the Dairanath Avari companion. But I have downloaded Valtierro which were released a few days ago and which I have heard good things about. I'm intending to try him out, might check the other one too later on.

Wow! He looks nice. The problem is that he needs CM Partner, your tip on stydying and using Neeshka's scripts looks better.
Ah, I'll post a picture later, but I changed Indiana James completely. I created a new face texture for him, moved his cottage to an apartment in Vivec and now he's a nord huahuahuahuahuahahuhuahuahuauhauhauha XD huauhahuahuauhauhauhahua *laughting madly*

Ah... both aren't voiced. "This mod is NOT voiced" I'll record things now to upload soon. EDIT Yeah, I listened to the files I recorded so far and decided to share them then. Here the link: www.sendspace.com/file/hz1gw0These are a couple of the voice entries I made for him.
