Well, time to add one more soldier to Lex's group, I guess; I'm waiting for Oblivion to explode from my ever-growing stable of companions... XD
Joking aside, I'm happy to have yet another companion.
EDIT: I'm really liking his voice, too! Comparing your accent with the voices in the game, it kind of has qualities of both the lilting Breton voice, and the Redguard voice.

Hahahaha, did you also notice me in TES Alliance? I finally got a register there. I'm still blocked, but at least I finally put my hands on Magrait's house cats!
And thank you for the feedback on my voice! hahaha "lilting" hahaha my sister should read that! hahuuahhauha

Hmm... If you mean blocked from the Shoutbox, just make two more posts and you'll be good. I'm hoping to play a bit more with Fergus tomorrow. If I have any problems, I'll let you know.

Thank you, Emma! Hope you'll enjoy. =D Ah, try to introduce him to Vilja as a generic companion and see what I told, about him picking the Imperial voice for some parts of the conversation with her.

Thank you, Emma! Hope you'll enjoy. =D Ah, try to introduce him to Vilja as a generic companion and see what I told, about him picking the Imperial voice for some parts of the conversation with her. ok... I have to work some hours before testing, but this is most likely because you have probably set his race as playable; then he'll use the voice-entries for his race, and if he hasn't got any, he'll use silent entries. If you want him to stop using the imperial male voice for conversations, set his race to non-playable and assign your own voice-entries to his conversation (filter for his ID).

Gosh!
I decided to go ingame and try him out for 20 minutes or so.
This is two hours later. I've been travelling around with him for two hours now, and this guy is a KEEPER. Really, really extraordinary good! He has character, personality, story, the upstart is great, when he actually runs off upon the arrival to the Imperial City.
Everything makes sense, he is not a "perfect" person, which I appreciate a lot - he has "normal" habits, a "normal" background, a "normal" horse, he doesn't come with 100 disposition towards you from start.
And, he is BLOKE. He talks and acts and responds like a real guy, not like "the man of your dreams". I like the way he whistles when travelling around - he doesn't have to have thousands of dialoglines like Vilja, it probably wouldn't even be realistic for a guy, but he has his unique habits!
I was working on a male companion for personal usage; even if I find some male companions around likeable, no-one has been quite what I have been looking for. Well, I hereby solemnly dump my little WIP, as Fergus has all the characteristics I have been looking for. And on top of that he is handsome! In a masculine way!
I either didn't play long enough or didn't say the right things, because "flirting" is still limited to "smile at him". If this is a design choice that will open up more alternatives later, then it is a very good choice I think. I'm still pointing it out in case it is a dialog filter issue or something I did. (I do hope you will at some point replace the theatralic "I feel your eyes on me... bla bla bla" with something more in character with Fergus; it just didn't fit him IMO)
I didn't understand what you meant first with the immperial voice and Vilja, but I do now. It's because he is not yet in the Vilja mod as an unique companion. If you decide to release him, I'll add him in ASAP. With other companions with unique voices, I have just filtered out them so that they won't discuss any topics that would force the standard voices with Vilja. However, if you'd like to, we could do a special solution for this guy, so that we decide how the discussion will go and you let me add in his voice-entries for these specific replies - it could get quite interesting.

You know, 877 voice entries is probably a lot more than what any other companion (with one young alchemist-exception) has.
Excluding "explicit sexual material" is probably a very wise choice... If it isn't done extremely well, it just becomes "funny" at best and "debile" at worst, and after all, it's up to ourselves to imagine what might happen once you hit the "sleep"-icon on the beds. I might not be the average player, but I most definitely prefer a "boyfriend"-kind of companion who let me figure out for myself what happens after I hit the "sleep"-icon.

Hey, Emma, thank you a lot for your comments. I didn't expect that you would like it so much. I'm really glad, since he's my first companion after all.
Sure, I "copied" the romancing part from Stoker Wolff (that's why he says "i feel your eyes upon me...") but I didn't agree with all options at first sign in Stoker Wolff (even if they change after you complete his quest, but to tell you the truth, I never had pacience to listen to his story and see what happens). So, three more options will open later, depending on what you choose. That's why I say "love points" because the more you flirt and stay with him, you gain points in a variable that will help you advance adding more options and more dialogue entries (because the more options opened, more dialogues lines will be triggered, so, I hope this part will become less tiring in the future, and of course, Fergus might ask for kisses or say funny things later)
I was reading about Julan, and sometimes I feel like the romancing part could have a different view, but well, let me know what you think in the future. Suggestions of what he could say is welcome too, because my creativity in this part is a bit limited. I must admit, in real life, I'm not very good in romances and I don't read too much material in this way. I thought "boy, you're crazy to add romance on this guy", but since I already started, I decided to finish.
I'm doing all this mystery posting him here first and all because after some experiences in my Better Inns mod, I discovered that having other people playing my mod in different conditions is useful. Fergus, the way he is right now, is a complete companion and I might upload him in TESNexus as soon as I have more feedbacks and fix any bugs or add more interesting changes that were suggested. I could join the B.T.A. Guild in TESAlliance, but I'm still feeling quite shy to ask it there. ¬¬0
So, yup, you can make Vilja recognize him, I bet she might have several options of things to talk about hahaha =P
Oh, and I also prefer to use my imagination in some parts, also, saying bad words or telling hot stories would be too much for me. I'm already sheepish in some responses I added to him, imagine if he says something worse.

I had test a little (only the meeting so far).
The first time I arrived to imperial city after meeting him, I had use fast travel to Apachi store in waterfront. When he then had go to finish some business, he has encounter great troubles finding the path, getting stuck various times for a while until he finally go aboard the Maria Elena, where he has got definitely stuck. I had fast travel to Talos plaza and sleep 17 hours in Tiber Septim Hotel, but he was still in Maria Elena's board.
Second time, I fast travelled to waterfront mark and he has find the path to Talos without too many troubles.
As I see the problem here comes with fast travelling to mod created destinations in Imperial City, where the path to the pub is neither straight nor free of obstacles. Maybe you could teleport him to the pub after some time, but on the other hand I had selected Apachi store as the worst scenario I could find, for going with him to IC.

Good point there... we have seen similar things with Vilja trying to find her way around in modded areas, in particular in Imperial City. It would probably be a good idea to teleport him to the pub once the player is out of sight.
I remember another thing I thought I'd ask you about... I'm not sure if this was a designe decision or just something glitchy... When he tells me more abouot himself, he'll tell several things at the same time, i.e. I can continue to get new information from him 2-3 times, and sometimes a bonus time if I bribe him with 100 gold. He'll occasionally tells me that he thinks we should talk (and I get the impression he wants to talk about himself), but then he might not have more information about himself to share. This is *not* a problem or anything, I'm just mentioning it in case it was not a design choice but something I triggered by doing things differently from what you had expected.

Hummm, nice point, amgepo, maybe he could teleport himself after one hour. I confess, I think I did his intro more than 10 times, the only thing I got was he forgetting his ai.
But, now that you brought this problem, I guess his "meet me at" would need changes too. Like, I made things work this way: if you ask him to wait in a city he teleports himself to the mages guild of that city and picks an ai to make him travel to the inn he chose or your house. If you ask him to meet you in a city that you are, he doesn't teleport himself, instead, he picks an ai to make him walk to the inn or house.
With this possible problem, teleporting him to a mages guild and make him walk could lead to the kind of thing you reported. =( Actually that was something I liked, but no problem to change, if it may diminish any problem.
