Been trying to run it on my tired old computer. Very extensive and impressive work. I have only done a few quests in and around Bruma. There are some areas east of Bruma toward Azura's shrine which will produce instant CTD's even for players with decent rigs. I am sure that will be ironed out shortly.

The current sticky on the mod talks about those CTD's they result from.... Corrupt navmeshes wrong world encounter setup and a corrupted Goblin Skin
They are working on the problems.
In the mean time avoid the discussion thread for the mod unless you really want to get sucked into a nasty debate over SSE vs. Legendary.

My computer cannot run SSE, so I would not be a participant in such a debate. I am only able to run this mod by using a combination of crashfixes and its preloader along with enboost. When I was just using the Sheeson memory patch which comes with SKSE along with Safety Load, I was getting CTDs whenever I entered or exited a cell (such as Castle Bruma) or when I talked to the Captain in the Castle about the artifacts quest.

Semi patiently waiting, trying out other quest mods. Final cataclysm is not worth the time. Should have known better when the author was cocky in his nexus page...."need help? Figure it out"

Figure it out" "So many of these mod developers are idiots. What happens when you take an elephant out of it's customized pen on an 18 wheeler and have it sit on a bobsled? Just because it works fine for the developer with his rig and all his bells and whistles doesn't mean it's just going to cruise on down the hill avoiding all obstacles for you." -My techy/computer guru

BS:B has now reved to version 1.2 with lots of fixes. This is not the last update, so if you want the least hassle wait awhile longer.

BS:B has now reved to version 1.2 with lots of fixes. This is not the last update, so if you want the least hassle wait awhile longer. There are still issues relating to things like quests remaining in log and showing as incomplete after all objectives have been completed. I was glad to see that the endless thread of players bickering about Classic vs SSE was apparently deleted. Your description of that thread as "ugly" was spot on.

I get this mod is a huge download and has yet some big bugs to iron out, but what about it's performance friendliness? Does it cost much FPS? and specially to thenryb, besides frequent CTDs, does you game stutter when in Bruma?

Does it cost much FPS? and specially to thenryb, besides frequent CTDs, does you game stutter when in Bruma? Well, I have a really weak computer which never gets more than 60fps and usually is running about 30. When I added this mod I did not get that much decrease in frame rate, but I did get some stutter and when I got to Bruma I would have CTDs when going in an out of buildings like Castle Bruma. They were instant and due likely to just running out of memory. I then installed Enboost, and that allowed me to avoid those instant crashes. The game does not run as smoothly in Bruma as it does in Skyrim. I still experience stutter in Bruma but it is not disabling.

Totally unrelated to Burma, but I had some studder and lag, then I used BETHini and it helped by rearranging the ini files .

General comments indicate to avoid lighting mods such as ELFX which will cause significant FPS drops. Comments also indicate that BS:B is really pushing Legendary Skyrim to it's limits.

Maybe I should wait until someone releases a reduced textures patch.

I think it is less textures but the sheer number of objects added.

Maybe I should wait until someone releases a reduced textures patch. For what is is worth I ran it through the texures optimizer tool before I installed it and it made no changes whatever (if that is what you mean by "reduced textures".) The issue is probably more what Narramore said.
