Several interesting observations on having two Viljas; They share the same stats. Occasionally one may finish a statement that the other one started. And some dialogue options said to one of them will affect them both, like "Let's go", 'Wait here" or "This is our new home". Interestingly, they fight together very well. One seems to prefer the bow and axe while the other primarily uses a sword and shield. The first Vilja seems to like being in the lead when we're walking, while the second Vilja will hug me spontaneously on occasion during a dialogue. They both will start singing but the first Vilja is the only one to talk to Lydia. Lydia will only follow the first one as well when I ask her to. I can only summon the first Vilja. They never talk to each other but have looked at each other, but only briefly. They are not hungry or thirsty at the same times, but are usually both tired together. And finally, they will interrupt each other when talking (so far, on different subjects) quite often. I should also mention that when I ask Vilja no.#2 to play some music or read a book, it's always Vilja no.#1 that actually does it. Conversely, it's usually Vilja no.#2 who spots and reacts to any threats first.

I thought I had found a solution to the problem of dealing with and tracking two Viljas. I went into console command and clicked on Vilja no.#2 then typed "tai' (toggled her A.I. off). She froze at the Highview Cottage and I thought she was in limbo. So I went to work on a quest with Vilja no.#1 and Lydia but when we returned, she was gone! So, on a hunch I fast traveled to Riverwood and there she was. She would look at me but not talk until I toggled her A.I. on again. Brought her back to the cottage and tried again turning her A.I. off and then typed in "kill" (when I had tried just "kill" before, after making her non-essential she wouldn't die just stagger around on her knees, too painful to watch) this time she stayed in place. (I didn't want to erase her by using "disable" just simplify some situations quest-wise) Ah-ha! I thought, finally had some control over the situation. Wrong! I noticed after a while, she would change her expression, open her mouth then close it. Look one way then move her eyes another way. Then, further along, she would actually answer me if I asked her a question (but her mouth didn't move!). To top it off, when Vilja no.#1 would go to sleep, Vilja no.#2 would close her eyes as well! I left the room and when I returned, she had moved her location without changing her position ! Can we say "stubborn as heck"! I wonder where she gets it from? Hmm... ( ) Well I guess I get what I deserve after all! I give up! I'm just going to have to learn how to make it work with them both somehow . Thank you Emma for letting me have a place where I could rant a little! P.S. I wouldn't trade them for anything! Greykin

Greykin, it's really fun and most intriguing to read your twin Vilja stories. As you suggested it would be very helpful to know the ID of both the Bannered Mare and Riverwood Vilja. Did the Riverwood Vilja really wear a Leather Armor or was it her default Hide Armor? And where exactly did she show up. Inside the mainhall of the Sleeping Giant Inn or in the secret basement of Delphine? And please have a look at your Skyrim\Data folder or in the Data Files section of the Skyrim Launcher. I have no idea whether NMM is even able to accomplish that, but maybe there are two Vilja mod files, one EMCompViljaSkyrim.esp and one EMCompViljaSkyrim(1).esp? Seems you are the only one is benefitting from double trouble. ;D I envy you. But seriously now, it helps a lot to find out why this happened.

Thank you Wolf! I'm glad you enjoy them. Now to answer your questions as much as I can to date; Vilja no.#2 I met standing outside of the Sleeping Giant on the side road. She did have leather on but I recalled early in the game giving her leather armor and saving the game in Riverwood, Over an autosave I believe. And at the beginning, I did met Vilja at the Bannered Mare as usual. I have not yet been able to find a file anywhere for more than one Vilja but recall that this last time I tried to find a solution when I toggled Vilja no.#2's "tai" off then the (shudder!) "kill' command it said; "paired animation = 0.0" Vilja no.#1's I.D. is "100012c4" Vilja no.#2's I.D. is "ff000d6e" Hope this helps clear up the mystery a little! I will post immediately if I find any .esp or other data! Greykin the Onager (SCA name)

Alright now, new stuff is happening! I thought this had stabilized and once I finally got the hang of it, it would be business as usual (as much as dealing with the Vilja twins could ever be! ) but their behavior started changing. I admit that I would bring one or the other along to different quests thinking the different experiences would possibly bring out a more unique version or character between them both. Well I didn't notice anything in particular until yesterday. Vilja no.#1 walked by and asked Vilja no.#2 how was she doing? ! I thought perhaps I was too close behind her and she was in 'reality' (funny choice of words there!) just asking me. Then when I asked Vilja no.#2 to read for me (after verifying her I.D.), fully expecting Vilja no.#1 to pull out a book and begin (like every time before!) Vilja no.#2 began to read! Okay...hmmm...(futher testing is required at this point!) I then asked Vilja no.#1 to play the lute while the other Vilja was still reading. And she did so! Knowing that my credibility was at stake here, not to mention my sanity (or what's left of it!), I leaped into action and took a picture! ;D Where this is all going to lead, I have no idea! But, one thing for sure, I'm enjoying the journey!

That's so sweet, greykin. I wonder... how do you make it to find enough sweetrolls for your twins? ;D

Thank you Angelis! That's a good question. It's easier to get apples and mead, but for sweetrolls I have to always be on the lookout :-)! Greykin

You poor fellow... In a chess game I would say: Sudden death! ;D Checkmate: To attack in such a manner that no escape or defense is possible, thus ending the game.
