You mean polygamy, Piper.
Polygon means two-sexed - like a snail or similar.
Wotan can I ask you, what is your first language? Because mine is English.
I don't want to come across as a bitch but you seem to think that you can correct peoples spelling, correct peoples grammar and inform people of their incorrect usage of words and I am perplexed as to how someone who is obviously smart, educated and a productive member of society doesn't have the social skills to realize that in the western English speaking world this comes across as very rude. I find it extremely rude and awkward.
When I invited my friend to come here and post his comics and you wotan then posted this...
That was funny.
I noted a common grammar mistake. You are = You're (not Your)
... that was rude of you. There are many uneducated people who don't know the difference. Did you ever think that maybe you embarrassed him? Do you know how many funny Companion villa comics he has made yet he has never come back. I still speak to him. It was rude of you. It was impolite. Who the flipping frack cares. He was having fun! SHUT UP! People are aloud to make mistakes without having being corrected when they are sharing a moment, a feeling and a desire to be liked.
I am perplexed as to why you think that you have the right to correct me when I make a mistake. Who the hell are you? REALLY!!! Who do you think you are?
I truly believe (I hope and I like to believe) that you are unaware as to how rude this behaviour of yours is perceived. I urge you to reconsider your behaviour and take upon yourself a sense of empathy. People are allowed to make mistakes without having to be embarrassed in front of their friends, family and strangers. Perhaps you would consider expressing your opinion through a "Private Message" in the future?
If I were you and I thought that you made a mistake in grammar I would have worded it differently...
" Hi PinkPiper, did you mean polygamy? Because I always thought that Polygon means two-sexed - like a snail or similar. Could I be mistaken?" But nooooooooooooooo. Apparently Mr. English dictionary knows everything.
If you are going to publicly try to make me look stupid and correct me in my first language (one of three languages that I speak, read and write every day, to lawyers, bankers, politicians, public servants and my family and friends) then you sir, better make sure you are one hundred percent right or word it as a question rather than speaking down to me. So let me take this moment and correct you again.
Polygyny and Polygamy are similar yet commonly confused.
Polygyny is the practice or condition of having more than one wife at one time.
Polygamy is having more that one spouse.
Polygamy is a marriage which includes more than two partners.
Polygyny is a form of polygamy. When the man is married to more than one wife at a time, the relationship is called polygyny - and there is no marriage bond between the wives.
Polyandry is another form of polygamy; when a woman is married to more than one husband at a time it is called polyandry, and there is no marriage bond between the husbands.

Polygyny (from neo-Greek πολυγυνία from πολύ poly "many", and γυνή gyne "woman or wife")[1] is a mating system involving one male and two or more females, where the man is married to multiple wives simultaneously.[2] In modern countries that permit polygamy, polygyny is typically the only form permitted.
In countries where polygamy is illegal someone who marries a person while lawfully married to another commits the crime of bigamy.
So in case you didn't understand me... STOP CORRECTING ME! Lighten up a bit. If you want to correct Emma's mods I couldn't care less but when I type words in my posts I am speaking off the cuff. That means chill out dude. You're a buzz kill. I don't like to feel that I'm back in private school and the teachers are eying my skirt as if it is up too high
