I don't think so, sorry! If you kill any version of a character, the game will always think they are dead. To remove extra versions, you should disable them in the console, not kill them.
There *might* be a way to set Constance's Dead flag back to zero with something like the enchanted editor, but I'm not sure. Or you could make an .esp to remove Balgoth's dialogue line for if she's dead... but honestly if it was me, I'd start over. You'd probably still have issues even if you did these things.
And... she was upside down??? I'd love to see that! Next time, take a screenshot, yeah? Very Happy
K. ------------------------------------- Posted by: Emma Post Posted: 22 Jun 2006 06:34 am Post subject: I agree that re-starting is the only reliable way to do this. A dead npc is a dead npc, even if she is resurrected.
Not that much Constance would do would ever surprise me... if she was laying doing on the floor when you found her, she was probably drunk (did you try to talk to her?). If she was literally upside down, I suspect that you might have added a new mod that altered the load order. _________________ Please visit my Elder Scrolls site ------------------------------------- Posted by: Theunforsaken1 * Post Posted: 22 Jun 2006 10:31 am Post subject: its quite possible that i added the load, well I restarted my game today and i have both ladies assisting me.. I like this mod too untill now. She is very helpfull in fights. But she doesn't want to talk about her life in morrowind to me. I already have her at 100% and got her amulet and she steals for me. She will tell you more and more about herself as time passes by and she is in your company, and after some time has passed, she will tell your about her missing bow... Until then, just drag her around and have fun with her. This isn't a 'regular quest-mod' - it's a companion-mod with a quest incorporated, so it's a bit differently made out compared to Lost Heir. _________________ Please visit my Elder Scrolls site ------------------------------------- * Posted by: remon Post Posted: 28 Jun 2006 01:40 pm Post subject: Oke, I'll drag her around then Very Happy thanks for the quick reply! that should help... but it really, really is cheating Wink _________________ Please visit my Elder Scrolls site ------------------------------------- Posted by: remon Post Posted: 05 Jul 2006 04:20 am Post subject: found out something else, if I use a 'charme' spell (= personality + 10), then my personality is 63 + 30 + 10 = 103. then she also lets me in. Posted by: Fable Post Posted: 24 Jul 2006 08:08 pm Post subject: Constance is...gone! More or less. I'm running Constance, and also Companion Share. Last time Constance was seen, she'd cast Levitate and was following me on a quick flight between Vivec cantons. Suddenly, I noticed she wasn't behind me after I entered one. I went back outside: no Constance. I tried using the Companion Teleport spell, which said I had one companion (correct), and offered me the option to summon her. I did, and got the sound that usually accompanies her appearance, but...no Constance.
She hasn't appeared since, despite going to Caldera, and trying to cast the spell, there. Whenever I use her amulet, she speaks of being interrupted while casting a spell. My only options are to recommend she switch to melee, agree with her choice, or run. That's it. And there was no attack between cantons.
Any ideas what I can do to bring her back? She's very engaging. ------------------------------------- Posted by: Kateri Post Posted: 25 Jul 2006 12:16 am Post subject: Re: Constance is...gone! Occasionally, levitating through doors can make a companion vanish. Usually, moving slowly away from the door for a while will make them reappear (check you're definitely in the celll you lost her in!) but very rarely, they get zapped out of existence completely. I'm not sure if you can get her back if this has hapened, but try asking about her in Gnisis. If she doesn't appear in the bar, she's been zapped. Sad Reload.
K. ------------------------------------- Posted by: Neko Post Posted: 25 Jul 2006 02:38 am Post subject: Yeah, levitating through doors is a bitch. Constance does have friends in Gnisis though, if you ask around there I believe it should always be able to bring her back. If that should fail, I can dig up some script magic for you to try, but it's basically the same thing as asking "where is Constance?".
The fact that you can use her amulet to talk to her is a good sign; she hasn't popped out of existence completely.

Nay, PlaceAtPC would, as you say, create a clone of Constance. You'd want constance's_id-> PositionCell x y z r "Gnisis" or the like. But glad to hear the built-in "where is Constance?" worked fine for you.

* No, it's not a bug in the mod, but I think you are suffering from an old bug in Tribunal! this bug made the game crash when you tried to steal from someone in follow-mode that was unconscious. If you install the newest patches on Bethesda's site, the problem should disappear... but you will still have a problem if you try to talk to Constance when she has passed out. If someone sees you (a npc) they will think you are stealing from or assaulting that poor innocent girl and call the guards... this is NOT something I have scripted them to do, it's in the game engine. So, just wait for a while and Constance will stand on her feet again.
Hope you will continue to be fascinated by her Smile. _________________ Please visit my Elder Scrolls site

So, Constance showed up outside, you got the key... doesn't Constance say anything new?
I remember you have to find the secret door in Yanna's hideout - maybe you should do that...
K. ------------------------------------- Posted by: sacredblue Post Posted: 16 Aug 2006 06:27 pm Post subject: Let's see...
Yes, I already checked out the hidden room (with the guy inside) by myself after putting Yanna to sleep. Then I picked up Constance and showed her around Yanna's place. Then when we got outside, she said to me, "Did it work? Did Yanna fall asleep?" even after she "saw" Yanna on the ground sleeping. Probably some weird bug? Is Constance's bow in another city?
And does the guy in the hideout room have any significant value to this quest?

Yes! Thanks guys! Unfortunately many had to die for this glorious cause to get back Constance's bow (and that mean the irritated guys in the secret basement).
A bug I found: But by the time I got back to the house (before going down to the basement), Yanna was awake. She was awake because I decided to do other quests until I received word of where Constance's bow was. I quicksaved before talking to Yanna and when I did, she was mad and attacked me. But...I reloaded the Quicksave and got the bow without talking to Yanna, she simply did nothing. I guess you have to activate Yanna's attack by talking to her.
It's funny how Constance would attack Yanna and kill her (while I do nothing). Then when I talk to Constance, she blames me for killing her.
So once again, thank you!

So right when you get the 300 eggs, go to your inventory and dropp those eggs. And I'm guessing because you don't have those eggs, it deactivates the script.

He's right in front of me. How can I miss him? ------------------------------------- Posted by: Emma Post Posted: 19 Aug 2006 03:04 pm Post subject: Re: Problems with...Juniper? Because you cannot reach him, maybe??
Spoiler below, highlight to read:
You don't have to kill him at all, he is just there for fun... _________________ Please visit my Elder Scrolls site ------------------------------------- * Posted by: Fable Post Posted: 19 Aug 2006 03:28 pm Post subject: So, the object is elsewhere, I take it? Hmmm...time to look around. I have to be careful, because I have Constance and Julian with me. Either is inclined to wander off, attacking rats and such. Maybe I'll try sneaking by the great big girl's blouse invisibly. Thanks. Posted by: Fable Post Posted: 19 Aug 2006 04:39 pm Post subject: Balgoth thinks Constance is dead. If this topic was placed here, before, my apologies, but I can't find it through a search.
Balgoth, when rescued, immediately states that I've told him Constance is dead. She isn't; she never has been dead. She's right behind me. What's causing this, and what can I do to fix it? Thanks.
EDIT: I see that there's another thread here after all, except that in that one, Constance did die. Is there anyway I can check to see if a flag on Constance shows she's dead, or, as Balgoth believes she's dead, reset him in some way? ------------------------------------- Posted by: Neko Post Posted: 19 Aug 2006 10:23 pm Post subject: Hmm, did you get any doubling bug? If a duplicate of Constance died, the game will still consider her 'dead'. Even if she is alive currently, if she has ever been dead, the dialogue condition "GetDeadCount" will be more than zero... which occasionally stuffs things up.
Might not be the cause, but I suspect it is.
-Neko [cat] ------------------------------------- Posted by: Fable Post Posted: 20 Aug 2006 04:58 am Post subject: Good point. As a matter of fact, once when I sent her to have fun in Ald'ruhn while I was elsewhere, I couldn't find her, later. I tried using a companion teleport spell to bring her to me outside, but it stated my companion was dead. I went to Gnisis, however, and found her alive. Didn't think much else of it. So now she's flagged as dead, eh? Damn. Will this break any Constance quests? Or is there a way around this? ------------------------------------- Posted by: Neko Post Posted: 20 Aug 2006 06:30 am Post subject: Mmm. Remember that Argonian informant Caius sends you to? I had fun getting the information out of him and then slaying him for causing me so much trouble, ... but Caius wasn't happy. So I restored a savegame, got the info, gave him a good killing, then gave him a good resurrecting... still no good.
I don't know how much it will affect Constance's quests - we'll have ask Emma that.
Lemme see if I can dig up a script command to confirm this is definitely what's happened...
Code: GetDeadCount, aa_comp_constance
Do the usual ~ thing to get the console in the game, type that in, see what it tells you. - If it says 0.00, good, but alas it means my guess about the problem is incorrect. - If it's 1.00 or more, un-good. a Constance has indeed died somewhere along the line. But, you can take solace in knowing Neko's hunch was right.
-Neko [cat] ended up making a mini mod just so he could progress through the MQ his own way. ------------------------------------- Posted by: Fable Post Posted: 20 Aug 2006 06:42 am Post subject: Yes, solace, right. Wink But I will check it out. Thanks. (EDIT: Yes, it's 1.00. Would have been scarier, though, if it had been 1.50, or 1.33.)
Does Constance's quest deadend if Balgoth perceives her as dead, or can it be continued by bypassing Balgoth? Or will it continue anyway, as Constance "remembers" another quest to go on? ------------------------------------- Posted by: Fable Post Posted: 20 Aug 2006 01:16 pm Post subject: Went up on Elder Scrolls, where another player suggested removing the dead check in the dialog. I opened the construction set and reversed the conditional check, so that Constance had to be dead, to continue--and it worked.
Just reporting that here in case anybody else should have the same problem. Hopefully, a search on the forum will bring up this topic. Smile ------------------------------------- Posted by: MyCat Post Posted: 20 Aug 2006 06:56 pm Post subject: What was wrong with just deleting the check? I'm not complaining, just curious. ------------------------------------- Posted by: Fable Post Posted: 20 Aug 2006 08:02 pm Post subject: Nothing at all. Smile

Posted by: Crypts Of The Dead Post Posted: 10 Nov 2006 08:02 pm Post subject: Constance And The Eggs So, I have been playing with the Constance mod for awhile, and like it very much. I also have Julan. Them two together are quite the trip. I just finished rescuing Balgoth. Junior, now that was a cute suprise. lol. Cool
Any who, I went to Balmora on the Silt Strider, and got 300 Kwama Eggs dropped into my inventory, but before I could do anything, I was approached by a Hlaalu Guard, arrested and thrown into prison. lol.
My Imperial Legion Agent wasn't too happy about that. Is there any way around this? I lost attribute points after being released from jail. I reloaded and have been avoiding the guard ever since. lol.
The mod is great though. Just wondering about the Kwama Egg thingie?
Thanks.
John COTD ------------------------------------- Posted by: Crypts Of The Dead Post Posted: 10 Nov 2006 08:32 pm Post subject: Ok, nevermind. I found that if you're quick enough, you can drop the eggs on the ground and everything is fine after that.
If it weren't for me playing as an Imperial, and being in the Legion, you know, a goody-goody, lol, I probably wouldn't mind getting arrested, but I try to avoid that path whenever I can.
All in all however, it's a Great Mod. Thanks Emma! Wink

You are playing as a Imperial Legion goody-goody and of all companions you choose to use Constance and Julan EEK!
Hehe you must be looking for trouble Mr. Green _________________ Please visit my Elder Scrolls site ------------------------------------- Posted by: Crypts Of The Dead Post Posted: 11 Nov 2006 02:43 pm Post subject: Yes, Emma, I like trouble. Wink
I wanted to have the most interesting game imaginable, and I think I've found it with Julan and Constance.
It's funny, because not only is my PC an Imperial, but he's in the Legion, House Hlaalu, and soon to be in the Imperial Cult. lol.
It makes it so interesting, listening to him bitch. lol. I just went through the deal of him hating Imperials, but is ok with me being one. He gripes about my uniform, being in Hlaalu, but all in all, he's tolerating it. lol.
Him and Constance like to get drunk every now and then. I give Constance Cryodiilic Brandy, and she's fine, but give her some Flin, and man, she's on the floor. lol. I guess Whiskey is too much for the lil Elf. lol.
Now, what about Shani? Is my Good-Goody Imperial Legionnaire gonna be able to handle her? lol. I heard she's trouble too. Mr. Green
Cheers!

Unfortunately Shani is not as well-developed as Julan. there is a quest involving here, that is quite...eh...dangerous. The quest with Shani is actually more dangerous then the last Bloodmoon quest. Ehhh... Yeah. Trouble, yes. But whether or not you are a Goody-Goody Imperial Legionnaire or not, she's still trouble. Have fun... Mr. Green ------------------------------------- Posted by: Kateri Post Posted: 19 Nov 2006 03:51 am Post subject: Apophis2412 wrote: Crypts Of The Dead wrote:

There is a non-violent escape route option, though. So it's not that bad!

Posted by: anais Post Posted: 08 Dec 2006 05:27 pm Post subject: Balgoth...spoiler? So, we've made it throught the cave and unlocked the cell that Balgoth is locked up in. But he aned Constance do not acknowledge each other. She keeps saying that we need to find him. He says the usual banalities about watching out for my valuables. We've killed all the enemies (including the giant nix-hound) except an occasional rat or shalk. This is the third time we've returned to the cave and still no change. At one point I tried killing Balgoth (with a quick save of course) to see if there is anything important in his inventory. There isn't... Constance blamed me for his death although she filled him full of arrows herself however it didn't affect her disposition. What am i doing wrong here? Are there any journal entries or other info that I need? ------------------------------------- Posted by: Emma Post Posted: 10 Dec 2006 09:20 am Post subject: Did you talk to Balgoth's friend before you entered the cave? The one who told you the story about Balgoth being kidnapped?
If everything goes right, this is what Balgot should say: Who are you? Are you another of these rotten... Now, hey wait! Constance!! You have come to rescue me? Thank goodness for that! I don't understand why I always end up in such bad trouble!!
A new topic called 'bad trouble' should be added.
In order to get this conversation, you must have the following journal entry, called AA_Conbow 40:
Balgoth has been kidnapped! Claude Camembert told us that a couple of bad guys dragged him away to the east towards the coast. He heard them mention a place called Junmasir, that's probably where they went.
Constance hasn't been dead and resurrected in your game, has she? And you haven't used TESTool on the dialog? _________________ Please visit my Elder Scrolls site ------------------------------------- Posted by: anais Post Posted: 10 Dec 2006 11:08 am Post subject: No Constance hasn't been killed and we did talk with Camembert. Sometimes glitches happpen though. I will try the Journal entry and get back to you. Thanks. * A. ------------------------------------- Posted by: Emma Post Posted: 12 Dec 2006 08:15 am Post subject: OK.
You didn't use TEStool on the dialog either, did you? _________________ Please visit my Elder Scrolls site ------------------------------------- Posted by: anais Post Posted: 12 Dec 2006 09:40 am Post subject: No, when I was travelling from Gnissis on a Redoran mission (and for my char's first meeting with Constance) a warning popup about Constance showed. I've forgotten the message. I reloaded the mod and then a save game was posted titled "Restore" IMHO this could have had the effect of doubling Constance. After a couple of very hairy quests her doppelganger could have been killed and recorded as dead unknown to me. Sorry to say I've started the game over but if the glitch occurs again I'll be back.
