Micro update. Paid a visit to Wyrmstooth. Did a whirlwind tour of the place from towers to toilets. Chased some doofus dragon all through a weird underground nord/dwemer/volcano/falmer resort area. It finally vacated right back to where we started. Our little group was spread across half the island when we finally tracked it down. That was when it made a serious mistake. It was bad enough for it to discover the bare chested dusky beauty and everyone's favorite scarred, purple kittykat were close to immune to it's halitosis then when it thought things couldn't get any worse it stepped on M'rissi's tail. WHAM WHAM WHAM TWANG TWANG TWANG TWANG TWANG TWANG TWANG WHAM TWNG TWANG WHAM THUMP CRUNCH MANGLE SPLAT HURT IT A LOT. Vilja and the rest of the company came running up a little too late to get in on the fun. Standing in the middle of a self immolating dragon corpse she of course asked the natural question for the circumstances, "You are quite fond of Mjoll, aren't you?"
And on the social scene. Viconia is now firmly convinced her and the Dragonburp are an item and oblivious to DBs marital status, Sophia is just begging for DB to pop the question, Arissa's regard for the DB has increased with each of the last 220 dragon souls absorbed and must be quite wet and gooshy by now, Aela is still all gloom and doom business, Vilja is quite happy about the married life even though the honeymoon was spent fighting a minor war and Sindra has proven to be about 3 1/2 bubbles out of plumb when she strolled up to DB and remarked "We are having a great time together, don't you think so?" while on fire. Sadly I will have to dismiss Aela as she is hogging the dialogue with Vilja and Inigo isn't getting a chance to put his 2 septims in.
Otherwise, having searched about 1/3 of the shores of Skyrim we have turned up 8 clams. Fortunately the Dragonborn has very fast reflexes and only suffered minor burns when a bowl of dead things from the sea was waved under Cerwidens nose.

What you need to worry about is if you meet them in Riverwood BEFORE the Bottle quest starts. (Happened to me once)

'Quick Light' found here www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/73473/?A lantern which carries at your waist and is switched on/off at will. Activates via E key after set up in MCM. Brilliant concept! I give it 10 out of 10. Definately a dungeon or dark night aid. Very unobtrusive. And another line for Vilja: "Excuse me, but did you know your pants were on fire?"

Sometimes I feel like I'm intruding in Emma's private life when with Vilja in Skyrim. This feeling has been growing of late. Emma poured so much heart and soul into Vilja, and even moreso, her with Sindra/Tindra. I feel obligated to act more sedate, more proper and restrained, with Vilja right there, watching. Anyone else get these feelings?
On another note, the voice of Sindra-Tindra. A little less schooled and practiced perhaps? She pronounces the name in one instance, Wee L YA.

My sweety has created a whole new way to play Skyrim encounters. Seriously. She's turned it into a cross between a neurosis, science and an art form. I think the people into micro-managing might be interested in this so I go into some details.
-All companions are vanilla. Their out of the box/mod settings. So quite a bit of random element is involved in how they are going to do what. This is part of her fun, AKA psychosis. -She has dialed up archery and destruction magic to Legendary. Not interested in melee. -Companions must be made as predictable as possible within their normal operating scope. So before every major encounter each one is talked to to keep impending dialogue scripts from interfering. The worst is executing a carefully planned assault just as Vilja says, "There is something I;d like to talk to you about. Have you got..." NO! NO NO NO! I do not have even 2 seconds, darn it! It could be aggravating irrelevant noise, it could be critical Vilja quest development. Same goes for some of the others. Try to get the talk and pending scripts of the moment over with.
The attack. This can drive me bats-bonkers. I've clocked her taking 15 to 20 minutes just to find the best location and arrange the followers. I hated to admit it at first but VERY CRITICAL! The premise being ALL companions are going to enter the battle, each in their own way. She will even reload her pre attack save if a follower does the sit-on-their-thumb-and-rotate number.
Just scrambling up a pile of rocks for best sniping is now gauche. Great for the PC going lone wolf but that is history. Team effort is mandatory. So the companions have to be arranged as they naturally follow the PC. This can involve a lot of sneak and maneuver to get them in order. A LOT. How much? 5 minutes of chaos to clear a fort vs up to a half hour getting the perfect vantage and everyone just right-> Sophia dives straight into melee. Inigo will fire a few arrows then charge in to melee. Viconia is like Inigo but keeps firing arrows longer before melee. Vilja will summon a flame atronach and then do some sniping followed quickly by a melee charge. Arissa does sniping and will enter melee quite late and only when there are no targets. Aela and M'rissi will not enter melee and always continue sniping if done right. So Sophia, Viconia and Inigo must be free to move past the others and not get stuck back in a narrow area. Vilja's atronach stays where summoned and must get a clear field of fire where the area of effect of the fireballs hits where the enemy groups up at a choke point.
Meanwhile, the PC has an array of weapons. With Squishy at the keyboard she will usually one shot 3 enemies before the alarm is raised. Then she switches to magic. A group of enemies in plain sight get chain lightning or fireballs depending how far apart they are. Enemies spread out like on a wall get a series of fireballs. Individual enemies are targeted with frost damage to slow them down and give the Inigo-Viconia-Sophia meat grinder a chance. Individual enemies that have taken cover get Ice Storm that blasts through walls and other objects. Chain lightning must be turned off before the companions get close so they don't get fried.
Simple, right? She is still working Sindra into the calculations. She's testing staff of frost or storm wall and Hevnoraak's right now.
The bottom line of all this is each major encounter becomes a complex half to one hour long event. Coupled to Deadly Dragons and Populated Forts and Towers and me making a pre encounter save or two, the group might not move out of a cell for her entire playing stint.

Just for fun, I gave Sindra two staffs of chain lightning then parked her in the center of the Riften mall. Waited a couple of times for a dragon and... "There will be no survivors."

A tiny little bit of spice. You know you are having a bad day when...
Wyrmstooth. Assasins attack. The PC runs outside. Inigo is pounding awat on one enemy. A small clipping problem as Inigo has apparently pounded him into the scenery. WHAM WHAM WHAM WHAM WHAM WHAM 'Let me help you..' WHAM WHAM WHAM WHAM WHAM.
Meanwhile, next to him Viconia confronts another assassin one on one. He raises a melaa weapon as Viconia aims her bow. She purrs, 'How unfortunately for you' and with surgical precision shoots him in the privates.
All hell cuts loose behind the PC. Vilja's summoned flame atronach, and I'm not sure who else have the third assassin cornered. I have no idea how many fireballs went off. At least 20, coming from 3 or 4 directions.
All the PC can do is spin about and observe the carnage as Viconia puts another couple of arrows in the guy's head from about 3 inches and FOOM FOOM FOOM FOOM WHAM WHAM FOOM WHAM WHAM FOM FOOM FOOM WHAM WHAM WHAM.
I think the Dragonborn might need to take a break from these maniacs soon.

Just a heads up. 9 followers including Vilja. We went through nearly all the Falskarr quests and finished the main quest. Some sort of faction changed following the congratulations celebration in the Inn. (Scripted).
FORK! The followers have declared war on the population of Falskarr. Doesn't seem to be any way of stopping things. Followers have overwhelming combat advantage. Some of the local population are still essential. Perpetual war. Only seeing reloading a save as the solution.

I've got the guide and it presumes certain things from word go. Like being able to thank her. Any suggestions on uninstalling and reinstalling?
This is an awful lot of trouble to go through for a cow that constantly stomps of Vilja-Sindra-Tindra duets with her religious horsepucks infomercials.
PS I've got 110 playing hours with Ceri going nowhere.

Maybe she just doesn't like the crowd? Maybe she is supposed to be the only follower?

I'm not using any Vilja tweaks. Just what Vilja vanilla offers. The ability to have a lot of companions. Maybe my game is broken a little?

I guess I'll have to put some extra effort into Ceri. Hard to get into that with her incessant religious infomercials. I have no clam chowder and no recipe. Now what? The recipe should be available when you use a cooking pot or similar. I think you need 1 clam meat and 1 salt, but it's been some time since I went through that with her. It takes quite some time for her to warm up. I think you need 50+ relationship points with her. You earn one point each time you thank her and each time you give her her favorite food. It's only possible to earn points every two or three days in-game. Hence the long wait. Once she warms up to you she'll give you a gift from home and you'll be able to advance her quest. I have no dialogue option to thank her.

How do you run 12 companions? who are they? Whicxh mod allows that? Right now we are running 10+ companions. Vilja was first and her tweaks to the game allow all the rest. Vilja, Inigo, Aela expanded, Viconia, Arissa, Cerwiden, M'rissi, Sophia, Sindra and Tindra. I have Sindra and Tindra following Vilja so I get to hear all their dialogue and songs. Have had 15 followers, some temp NPCs. Can't stand Serana or Eryniel and her weird family and graphics so got rid of them. Just unticked the mod, made a new save, did a save game clean and another save. All function perfectly except Cerwiden who is apparently buggy for everyone. Her quest never starts. For keeping the saved games clean I use Amgepo's little trick. At the load selection screen I go into the console and type COC nothing <enter>then load the saved game. Also use markfordelete <target> on all litter like dead bodies before leaving the cell. The saves remain very clean. Otherwise, I never use any follower tweaks or wardrobes including Vilja's. Wardrobe mods with modified or improved armor is begging for crashes. A nice spartan game, extremely stable. The followers have no problems going to Solstheim, Falskarr, or Wyrmstooth. They also worked out well in Helgen reborn. I'm not into mod mod mod mod mod. It's all about interaction and dialogue. All followers wear very heavily improved armor and have very powerful weapons. We have overwhelming combat advantage always. A yawn, you can only kill so many enemies before you want to play a different game so we explore the nuances and details instead. Oh yes. All followers have text files in the game folder in their name. Vilja.txt, Inigo.txt and so on. The text file has: prid <FollowerNumber> (next line) movetoplayer. So if a follower gets lost I just open the console and type bat Inigo (or whoever is missing) and there the follower is, in your face. Vilja's reset spell helps them stay in line and in the correct armor or clothing.

She is fine for me. I made her a AFT follower. Does she act differently as AFT? AFT insulating/protecting the game from all her floops and adjustments comes to mind. I won't use AFT. I've had up to 12 companions all working perfectly which I attribute to Vilja. Now that the game runs so well I'm not about to mod muck it.
