We checked out Selene Kate. The Red Bull + Jolt cola micro-managers delight of mods. Be sure to first install the mods to support this mod, and of course the mods to support the support mods. I forgot if the phase of the moon is taken into account as to when you are supposed to install the mod and I think the PC should not be wearing purple underwear during the initial simplified 147 step installation and tweaking. Down to earth, with all Selenes pending scripts I'd be surprised in the average computer could run the game at all.

Well, Got M'rissa, did the Bann' Mare drunks. Met traser in Riverwood, killed the two guys. M'risssa just said H'mm and what? Text said trader may know more, went to see him. On way back some Thalmor? spoke to me and 'I Failed' what happened? You made the wrong choice for your reply to him, if I remember right you should pick the first option, I can't remember the exact wording, but basically you offer to lead him to her in another town for a fee, but he refuses because he thinks you're just trying to scam him and says he'll find her himself and leaves Riverwood. Yes, quest dead. Reload a saved game. That could be done a lot better.

Sniffles I understand that, it's annoying tho' and brings you to a grinding halt. didn't know about the patch problem either. Other than rthat all ok.I restarted bcause I though to give it a try on my own minus Vilja and co. May install Viconia later in the game. Don't know any other Companions other than Vija, Sofia, Eryniel, Got too much of a same old etc!! Try M'rissi and Inigo. Viconia: overbearing, supercilious and peremptory.

Rhyls, that is not happening often enough to be a real glitch. It sounds more like something Amgepo mentioned a while back where some functions, scripts?, get ignored for various reasons. He was talking about Vilja not executing some script. Instead of the game screeching to a halt and waiting for a script to run it gives it an ignore and goes on about it's other business.

And another odd Vilja question. She casts a summon flame atronach upon entering combat now. Of late I have been improving the PCs destruction magic skill. Vilja's destruction magic level is 55. However, in the past 2 days with the PC near 100 destruction, the flame atronach casting fireball appears to have dramatically increased in power. IE Vilja's summoned helper leveled with the PC but Vilja hasn't?? Is that possible?

Amgepo, could you clue me here a little? I've been observing the followers and how they act. 9 of them. Vilja, Sindra, Aela, Inigo, Sophia, Cerwiden, Arissa, M'rissi and Viconia. Situation: out in the wilderness, open unrestricted areas. We get attacked by a typical monster. Bear, wolf, dragon, whatever. Vilja. About almost half the time she remains in follow mode watching the PC. She doesn't switch into combat mode immediately but often does, though not always, after a few seconds or if she gets hit. Sindra, Usually enters combat mode immediately. Viconia. Typically always enters combat mode immediately. Starts with bow, switches to melee weapon very predictably. Arissa. Enters combat immediately, always uses a bow. Cerwiden. Slow to enter combat. Casts spells when she finally does. M'rissi. Always enters combat immediately. Always uses a bow. Almost always gets nore arrows fired than any other NPC and faster then the PC. Aela. Often doesn't enter combat, the same as Vilja. Sophia. Same as Viconia. Inigo. MUCH faster to enter combat. Uses bow but switches to melee quite quickly with the enemy farther away. MUCH more aggressive. Shooting past/around Inigo is the norm in most fights. Why are they all different? Why is Inigo always the most aggressive?

Or alternately... Say Dad.. these are some of my friends. They have volunteered to assist escorting you safe and sound to Riften. Oh! Some of them may be a little over-enthusiastic. You are wearing fire, lightning, frost and arrow proof undies, right?

Okay. Welcome to my world. Dragonbitch, hero of Skyrim and future conqueror of all Tamriel. Daddy's heartfelt blessings and Vilja never sees these pictures. Deal? Oh yes. And no dancing on tables. Hey! That's what you get for all that bellowing when we first met! If you want to try again it's 'Oh my darling daughter in law to be. Allow me to lavish treasures and praises upon you'. Leave out the 'You blackmailing little guttersnipe'.

Sounds like fun! Hope they both stay working. She's a fun NPC to have around with quite a few oddball little comments. An essential part of my Skyrim now. There would be a void in my game without M'rissi sitting demurely at a table in an Inn quietly eating. Or her righteous miniature fury when confronting an enemy. Or just her purring.
It is a little strange to me that with all the modding done for Skyrim there is less than 10 quality followers with depth and a life of their own so to speak.

Hi everyone. Sniffles, I learned the hard way to save, save, save, But your advice is always good. I shall be going back as: after the 'Rescue', there were no acclamations of 'LOVE' just friendship etc, I seem to remember that point is where the love is declared for each other. Vilja will drop a few hints before the True love-Mara amulet speech. Not sure of that one's timing. But Vilja will want to visit certain cities and want you to buy something special first. Maybe the Mara amulet is a comment outside the quest progression.

Rhyls, suggestion. Make special saved games. -Pre coping with Halvdan in Riften. -In Eldergleam where Vilja leaves just before escorting Heneri. -Pre entering the Windpeak Inn to ask Wilbert where Vilja went. -After getting info from Wilbert and leaving the Inn, a temporary save you can re-use until to reunite with Vilja. (In case the game has the Karita-Windpeak blues)
These are quest critical moments. They are also fun, worth replaying at a later date. Looking back on the budding romance.
Our save library, thanks mostly to Chaos Princess -ButterfliesAndBubbleheads Initially getting the bottle -DancingWithDingbat A month in game time of going around Skyrim and collecting stuff with Vilja leading up to about to enter Eldergleam with Vilja for the first time. -DragonbornLogistics The PC has become a shopping and flower picking servant to a couple of whacko plonkbutts. Alduin and saving the world put on hold. -HalvingHalvdan 101 ways to cope with that schmuck in Riften, many of which get the guards and townsfolk really really pissed off. -DeathByEldergleam HOPE THE PLANE DON'T CRASH! In Eldergleam. Vilja goes off to pursue her bardic dream leaving you with a squawking parrot. -KaritaSingsTheBlues Pre Windpeak and talking to Wilbert. -DuetInAckMinor Asking Vilja to stay in Skyrim -LesbiansInLove Romance started -TrueLove Vilja explains her thoughts on the amulet of Mara
I've reverted to ButterfliesAndBubbleheads many times. We have three different versions. PC at Level 8, the preliminaries of the game finished and Bannered Mare - get Vilja and off they go. PC Level 40, numerous quests done. For being tired of seeing Vilja on hands and knees after getting squashed flat again, her started with a leg up. PC level 60 Stinky boyz sitting around table in low Hrothgar waiting for the DB to show.

Just shout them out of the way as for "I suspect Vilja is the same roadblock wise" I've found her to be the biggest headache. Vanilla followers get out of the way when I try to push past them and the custom voiced followers I have are all more obliging than Vilja, Mrissi moves out of the way quite easily (she does complain about being pushed though) while Inigo moves instantly and apologises for being in my way, Recorder and Sofia take a little more pushing but do move (grudgingly) but Vilja............. Vilja will say "oh, am I in your way?" but does she move out of the way? uhm..... nope, she stays put, smiling at me, the more I push, the more she giggles and smiles sweetly at me, while I resist the urge to give her a gentle tap with a mace.......... Nod nod nod nod. Vilja!!! Then MOVE, darn it! Shout.... I'm sort of attached to an orderly house. Not everything blasted all over the floor. Yes, Inigo and Aela zip right out of the way. Inigo better though.
