Yes, she is the most endorsed recently, but the thing is that people actually started to vote for as file of the month as well - and, believe it or not, she is now no 3 on the list. I think it is amazing . Aiming for no 2 on the list might be a little too much to accomplish this late, but of course we are happy for every vote that she gets. (Unfortunately, a file can only be on the mod of the month list once, so obviously, Vilja SE will never ever become file of the month (unless another 70 people head over and vote for her, but that is hardly realistic).

Well, I am in fact very optimistic that we should be able to make a good, truly converted version of Vilja that can be released fairly soon, we are testing various solutions with results that look promising.

Actually, most of the mods that are posted as "ported" are in fact not ported at all. It's just the same old version but with loose files instead of a bsa. The new creation kit was released only around the 5th of november, so everything older than this is definitely not converted (and the mods you have tested, naramoore and btog46, must have simply been the same olf mods as before but with extracted bsas). A truly converted mod should be converted in the new creation kit, but there are still a number of problems - for instance, the new nif-skope is still pre-alpha, and as long as it does not work for creating new face-gen nif-files, unique faces made with the old creation kit won't look the same with the new creation kit.
Doing like many other mod authors, i.e. extracting the whole bsa and uploading Vilja as "new version" is not something we would prefer to do, as uninstalling or upgrading a mod that have +3000 loose scriptfiles doesn't seem like a good deal.
We are discussing how to handle the situation, but would rather wait a little longer and ensure a good, stable result.

Oh dear! I must admit, this is one area I cheat a little and give my horse a massive health boost in the console. Can't bear horses or companions to die... For a companion like Vilja, you can use this handy file and make her essential. I use the 600 second version (real time). Much better than the 10 second default in Oblivion. It will change the way you play the game. www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/21425/?Of course you can use the options book in the Vilja mod to set her to essential, without using any other mods at all.

As you can see, you do get a list, with the lines Terry has written. In Skyrim creation kit, it would have been easy to find the right line, but in the Oblivion construction set, you actually have to go to the respective quests and look for the lines, i.e. compare with what you see in the text search.
The word ";Terry" is written in the result script box for each entry. I think I know that you are very good with the construction set, so I think you probably know what I mean by that.

Thank you for providing that information, Allyserian - I have to admit that this particular small questpart I had forgotten
And I'm glad that you are still enjoying the mod, after all these years!

No, don't use a console command. That will change the quest stage, but the events triggered by the quest stage is not in the quest entry, it's in the dialog entry that triggers the quest stage.
Go to Vilja's off-topic section and tell her that there are parts of her quest that you have already done. This will bring Beata to the BAnnered Mare, and through dialog with her, you can move on with the quest. Just be aware that you have to click through various dialogs with her before you can talk about the bards quest.

Could it be that you are using a mod that affects the npcs in the Bards guild so that Wilbert has another dialog overriding what he ought to say?

Oh, this Elizabeth seems interesting! Actually there is a lot of dialog filtering and programming behind why Vilja does say many things at the right time, although it is sometimes coinscidences. With Oblivion Vilja it was more of a coinscidence as there were not so many dialog filters or other options to control what she would actually say. To be fair, I think Inigo has at least as good AI as Vilja; SmartBlueCat has spent a LOT of time on him, and it shows.

Yes, was I was wondering is if there was a modders resource model-only mod, which I could possibly use to make a cat-add-on for Vilja. Else, the cat-mod sounds terrific (although I will NOT use the cat as a mount ), and I suppose that anyone could pretend that it was Vilja's cat if they wish to.

Oooh... that IS a cute cat I have downloaded the mediafire file, there was no readme. It is a cat companion mod, but is there a model that one may use? Think I need to try this one out

If the model itself is from The Witcher, I doubt that Nexus will accept it, as that would be considered as stolen content.

Hmm, my computers security system refuses to go to that link, it seems dangerous I have never seen any good cat model for Oblivion, only retextures of the mountain lion, and it doesn't look much like a real cat IMO. Is this a brand new model at that link, or is it the old mountain lion model?
