You know, sometimes groups of the images seem to form little stories. Well, they do to me, anyway. Here's one example (I've added captions under each pic): Barbara the Adventurer enters another Ailied dungeon and the look on her face indicates that she has spotted something unexpected. "I havn't seen that before." Ho, strange creature, prepare to die! The monster does not make a hostile move. What is going on? Barbara hesitates. "Hi. Me thud. Thud like you. Thud come along? Thud loyal. Thud wants to help!" "Hmm," says Barbara, "so it seems I have a mascot."

It's been so long since I played Laura that I forgot so much. However, I think I do remember having to wait or something? Have you tried stepping out of the club and back in? Have you tried going to another cell and waiting 72 hours? I'm not sure if these will work, i'm just throwing the ideas (guesses!) kinda random-like. p.s. if you do try these, don't save if they don't work, just in case.

Dude, wow. Those look almost like oblivion, with the distant landscape and that sort of blur effect that oblivion & fallout have got. Also in that picture I quoted, the effect of beams/rays of light showing though the trees is definitely un-morrowind! Again, wow. I guess one of those graphics extenders plus some post processing?

note: this is a repost from the other forums
During testing of the first version of Vilja, I noticed that occasionally, when coming out of an Oblivion plane, Vilja would disappear entirely: summoning her would result in the appearance of a Vilja, dressed in her starting outfit, all of the stuff I'd put in her inventory gone, reset to the items she started with. It didn't happen all the time: most of the time Vilja and my character both were returned to the Mundus intact.
I'd mentioned it to Emma and she said that she'd heard of this happening from time to time with other companions as well.
So we wrote it off as just another bug in the game.
Recently, in my researches to figure out the esp file format and how to mod for Oblivion, I found some information that I think might possibly explain why companions sometimes disappear when closing an Oblivion Gate. As this bug does not always happen, it is hard to know for sure.
The game keeps track of changes made to any cells by the player. Items dropped, picked up or moved (You knocked over that bolt of cloth in a store. Notice it's still on the floor the next time you stop by?) are noted by the game. This is part of the reason why a game save file will grow over time: more changes made to cells by the Player.
From a world-space tutorial, I learned that an Oblivion "world" is unlike regular world-spaces in that it will not persist once you return to the Mundus. This means that game won't track things changed by the player after exiting the world. Like a Guild Wars "Explorable Area," when you leave an Oblivion world, poof, it's gone ... this includes anything left there (don't drop that neat-o sword on the ground, you'll never see it again).
When you close an Oblivion Gateway, your character and your companion(s) are teleported out. This does not happen at the same time, though to human perceptions it seems to. By a microsecond or so, one is first and the other is second. The game is running multiple scripts at any given instant, including your companion's script(s), so the exact sequence of who goes first is indeterminate.
If the companion is teleported first, all is fine. If, however, the player is teleported first, well ... for a brief instant, the companion is in the Oblivion Realm that your character just left. Since your character just left, the game immediately deletes the entire oblivion world from memory ... including the as-yet-unteleported companion and their inventory. D'oh!
An obvious way around this is to ask your companion to wait before you enter the oblivion gate.
Another solution is to take the companion in (helpful for fighting all the enemies in the Oblivion realm) and then have them leave before you close the gate through their dialog.
It's also always good to make a save before entering the gate.
--
On April 14th 2010 Loriel mentioned:
The problem is mentioned in various companion readmes, but it seems to be rare. I hadn't seen it myself in the ten or so Gates that I closed with one or more companions in tow, but the last one (a couple of weeks ago) with Vilja triggered it as described - she disappeared, and when summoned she appeared in her starting gear. Replaying the closure of the gate, I sent her "out" before I closed it, and all went well.

Q: I accidently sold her amulet and don't recall where. Is there a way to get a replacement? A: Call up the console and type player->additem aa_con_amulet 1
Q: I've been traveling with Constance and now I can't find her A: when all else fails, go to Gnisis and ask an NPC about constance. The dialog topic is something like "Where is Constance". She should then be teleported to the inn or tavern (or whatever it's called) in Gnisis.
Q: Constance was killed. Can I use the console to resurrect her? A: If you kill any version of a character, the game will always think they are dead. NPCs in he game (such as her uncle) will think she is dead, making completion of her quest impossible. It's best to reload from a save before she was killed.
Q: Constance uses only hand-to-hand in combat. A: Are her weapons repaired? If their "health" is zero, they are broken and she will not use them.
Q: Constance gets drunk and passes out. I try to talk to her and it's reported as a crime. A: Since she is unconscious, the game thinks you are pick-pocketing her. Avoid talking to her until she wakes up.
Q: I seem to be making no progress with talking to Yanna A: Her disposition needs to be fairly high, I think 75.
Q: Constance's quest remains active in the journal even though her bow has been retrieved. When does the Constance quest-line end? A: It ends once you have found her bow. There is no announcement of the end.

I feel really blind coming here and asking this question but I can't seem to figure out how to start LoKKen. Going to Solthsteim and talking to the boatman, he doesn't have a travel option for LoKKen and when I open it up in the CS and look under the Lokken dialogue topic there's nothing entered in there. I've checked my load order with mlox, gone back and tried starting it on a clean save that had basically nothing else installed - and still no clue how to get to LoKKen and start this mod. I even tried using TLC from Frostmurne and trying to just walk there - there isn't even an island to walk to in my game.
I'm well past my bedtime and about to pass out but I really would like to know how I'm supposed to start this mod.
Post by: Kateri --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It doesn't sound like the mod is installed right - if the mod is working, you don't need to do anything special, the island is right there, and very visible from the north coast. And you get a note in your inventory as soon as you start a game with the mod loaded, so you know if it's working.
Post by: Emma --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, the argonian boatman does not take you to Lokken. But there should be another boatman, a nord guy, can't recall his name from the top of my head.
He should be walking close to the argonian. If he isn't maybe he has fallen into the water??

Post by: somesz -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi all! First, this is my favourite mod so far. I played first in 2007, but I didn't finished the main quest. Now I restared it. I'm in the quest when I have to break into the castle through the secret passage and kill the shaman. My problem is that I really don't know what to do. Laurenna said, we can check her mother's room in the sout east tower. I picked the door to the tower and now I'm on the top. I see a guard and an "attic door" what I can't open. I can't find keys to this door. "The door is sealed..." Do I really need to go there? Or how can I go forward in the quest? Post by: Emma -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you search the body of the shaman, you'll find what you need to get to Laurenna's mother Post by: somesz -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thank you Emma! I made a big mistake but I write it down to the other players. SPOILERI consoled the key and rescued her mother and we go back to the cottage. Laurenna said I need to sleep and wait for Wulfren. Nothing happenes. The problem was, that I didn't kill the shaman. I go back to finish him but I get the "notorious outlaw" title! Very Happy After that the quest couldn't continue... So anyone who tries to console the prison tower key, DON'T DO THAT! Kill the shaman first! CoolSPOILER OFFAnyway, thanks for your reply Emma! I'm truly one of your biggest fan in Hungary! Your mods are fantastic from Morgana to the Lokken Mountains! Post by: Emma -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Somesz, all my quest-mods are heavily based on journal-entries and dialog, and using the consol will almost always break things .

Post by: uhmatt -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- now, i read through the first 5 pages and didn't see any mention of this so i'm probably going to feel dumb when i get an answer, but i just talked to the white wolf for the first time and he sent me to go ask around the villiage about the warhammer, but can't seem to find any npc there that has anything to say about it other than they heard about it but have no idea where it is. perhaps you could clue me into who i need to talk to and/or if their disposition has to be high enough or something? Post by: Blockhead2 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- uhmatt, did you talk to Lisendra in the main hall? if asked about the gauntlets & warhammer, she should mention the name of someone you can talk to about that. Try talking to Laurenna again as well. Post by: uhmatt -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- yeah she just said that she'd heard of it but didn't know where it is like everyone else. i looked around on here and found a link to this: eldorf.tripod.com/Morrowind/eldorf017.html which led me to gartheim who did mention ingemar, but not where to find him.so i headed north and found the bear cave, saved just inside the entrance then got laid out by these two chicks that kept summoning bonewalkers, then went to load it and it crashed so i figured i'd check back here. noone has a topic for the gauntlets though, are they supposed to? so i went back and went through the whole cave and found no bears and no ingemar..... is there some way to fix this? Post by: MyCat -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just after you enter the cave, turn left the first chance you get. And save, the bears can be heart wrenching. Post by: uhmatt -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- thanks, but i'd already gotten to there before and they hadn't been there. i reinstalled everything, thinking another mod was conflicting with it and got back to there just a little while ago only to realise that the problem was most likely that after talking to the white wolf, when i talked to laurana, i think i only mentioned the hammer instead of the white wolf d'oh! because tonight i managed to get the clue to talk to lisandra and just got the hammer and gauntlets and bearcubs and whathave you. thanks though for trying to help though. thanks to the other guy as well.

Post by: Arasteele --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've played this mod before and things went fine from what I recall. Very well done and is counted among my favorites.
However, this time I have for some unknown reason really boned things up with my present game. I decided, after finding and retrieving the Thoran-Birge (sp?) warhammer & gauntlets, to hold off delivering them to the white wolf and instead took off adventuring with them. That hammer packs quite an amazing whallup so I thought I'd try smacking a few Dagoths, maybe even Ur himself, with it.
My fatal mistake was that I (for some ungodly reason) decided to put an enchantment on the hammer, not thinking that it might screw things up. Once I did that and later returned to Lokken to continue with the quests I found that the warhammer no longer registers to the NPCs as being the warhammer needed. I did not rename it when I enchanted it, it still has it's original proper name but no matter, they simply don't "see" it in my inventory. Both the wolf and his sister keep suggesting I go back to that certain cave and see if I can find the hammer.
My question is --- is there a code to re-issue the hammer into the game?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Post by: Neko --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, enchanting an item will change it's ID, and thus no NPC will be able to detect it. It's a common problem with Morrowind. The name as you see it is the same, but the game doesn't really care about that - it's the ID that the NPCs look for.
I can't give you a specific code to bring the hammer back in it's original form, because I don't know the mod in that much detail. If you've got a savegame from before you enchanted it, however, I can tell you how to get the code you need.
In your old save game, place the original hammer on the ground. Press ~ to open the console. Left-click the hammer - the title of the console window should change to something sounding like a warhammer. That's the ID of the object. Write it down, then load your recent save game. Open the console, and type
Player->AddItem warhammer_id_goes_here, 1 You should now have the original warhammer and the NPCs should recognise it. Drop the enchanted version of the warhammer in a lake somewhere, if you're a purist. You could even Disable it if you wanted to.
Standard Disclaimer Applies: I'm at work, brain melted out of my ears already, script commands may not be perfectly correct.
Post by: MyCat --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I found aa_warhammer_Thor_Bjorg right near the top of the list.
Post by: Arasteele --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So I took the code that Neko provided (thanks) and added in the item name that MyCat wrote, entered:
Player->AddItem aa_warhammer_Thor_Bjorg, 1
...and it worked. It's in my inventory at any rate. I'll load up the game and head my char back to Lokken and see if it gets things back on track.

I have one last question. Where is Wulfren? I kind of lost him during the wedding thingie. He's not in the Castle, Main Hall or the Cottage. ANd I'm supposed to speak to him.
Turns out I have a second question. I added Princess Stomper's add-ins (and others as well), have the teleport ring, like the Christmas decorations (plan to set up some of those in Solstheim Castle as well) but the secret passages are still a mess. Any ideas here?
Finally, there is a small bug. When you are levitated, Laurenna does so as well but after kissing, she literraly sinks through the floor with only her head protruding from it. Sinking through the floor from shame? Also, Wulfren tries to levitate as well but keeps falling down and over (comical sight).
Post by: Emma --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I think I have heard that Princess Stompers christmas addon makes Wulfren vanish into a static during the wedding ceremony.
Open up the console and type this:
"aa_wulfren"->PositionCell 3791.684 5104.880 18859.875 0 "Solstheim, LoKKen Castle Throne room"
that should hopefully make him reappear.
Hey wait!!!! How fast does he actually vanish? Have you married Laurenna yet? Check what she and others have to say about him after the ceremony, he is actually supposed to head to see someone else, so make sure he hasn't gone there yet. (Spoiler below)
The secret passage is probably a mess because you are using the esp-version of Lokken, but I really cannot say for sure. It seems to me something has happened to your load order, else you shouldn't have those whales jumping out of mountains. Did you add or remove mods recently (i.e. since you started to play Lokken)?
I'm not sure why Laurenna and Wulfren are misbehaving when levitating. If you have changed the loadorder (see above) this could be the reason. Try leaving them behind for +72 gamehours, that should reset them to original state (but don't do it until after you have completed the wedding and such, of course. If you have a male PC-char, don't bother too much about Wulfren's behaviour, he won't be following you around after the wedding anyway).
Spoiler: Check for him in Lisendras cottage before you decide that he is missing. He is supposed to go there...
Post by: Blaydon --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
yeah it was me who lost wulfren in the christmas tree at the bottom of the stairs up to the throne in the throne room i could just see him moving but couldnt activate on him.
Post by: Morgoth Bauglir --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thank you for your reply Emma.
I haven't tried it out yet but can tell you this. I use the .esm file (Version 2.0) and Lokken was installed as last mod. No changes were made to Morrowind since.
The "Fish Bug" and "Levitate Bug" are not limitd to Lokken, so I think the problem isn't your mod. I had a lot of strange and weird things happening when playing Morrowind. E.g.: Ice's Hideout from Canadian Ice has a room with teleporters, blue in colour. After a while, mine change to red. And more of this stuff going on like Princess Factor's Estate vanishing, etc.
BTW, I never used a mod to replace or alter the beds.
Wulfren. Well, I haven't looked in Lisandra's Cottage as it was locked and I didn't think breaking in would be appreciated much by the new chieftain. He actually vanished just after I provided him with the scroll that cleared his name. He's nowhere to be seen and didn't attend the wedding.
Concerning Princess Stomper's Post-Scenario Adjustments, I believe they only come into effect once the main quest and the "Mead Quest" have been completed. It is the "Mead Quest" I'm currently stuck with. All I get is the technical definition of mead.
When asking someone (anyone) about Wulfren, I always get the initial answer that he's the son of the previous rightful chieftain (not in these words, his father's name which eludes me at the moment, is used in the dialogue).
Thank you for your help; your "customer support" is a beacon of light and hope just like your mods are packages of joy.
Truly Yours, Morgoth Bauglir, The Not-so-Evil-as-you-Might-Think Overlord.
Post by: Blaydon --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah just deselect the christmas decorations and then you can get to him the tree's colision box is a lot biggger than wulfrens is.
You can turn them on later if you want them as this seems to be the only time they affect anything.

Post by: Morgoth Bauglir -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Have a problem, I've solbed most of the quest (with the help of this topic to some extend, I admit), but now I seem to be stuck. Wulfren doesn't appear in Laurenna's Cottage. I've waited for days on end. Furthermore, the option "a kiss" appears in the dialogue menu (after solving the Heineken Case) when I speak to whatever character, male, female, doesn't matter (actually it does to me). It works on everyone (even the guys) except on Laurenna. Bit of an anti-climax I might say. Help please? Post by: Kateri -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Are you running "The Underground" by any chance I remember that that mod added a kiss topic to all NPCs, which I remember being annoyed by (also a 'strip' option, iirc!!) It may be that the topic was triggered to appear by you reading a topic in/around the Heineken Case that contained the words "a kiss" somewhere. Post by: Morgoth Bauglir -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kateri, Indeed I have The Underground installed (Version 2 actually). You know much more about this than I do; is the wedding still possible? I would like to use Lokken Castle as my Part-Time Residene in the North. I'm just afraid that if I can't finish the quest due to Wulfren not turning up, the wedding won't take place and thus Princess Stomper's modifications to the secret tunnels won't take place either. I really like the Castle. You're opinion is valued extremely. If you think I can't finish the quest, I'll have to go to Plan B (massive slaughter, after all, I play an Evil Overlord). Post by: Kateri -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I don't think the Underground kiss topic should affect things... at any rate, I ran both mods together with no problems (although I did complete Lokken before TU was installed, I think. Can't remember.) I'm afraid I don't know why Wulfie's not shown up... what have you just done beforehand, in terms of the quest? I can't remember what occurs when anymore! Post by: Emma -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I don't think Wulfrens absence is related to the Underground-topic, either . It's more likely that there's something you should have done which you haven't. If you tell us what the last things you have done in Lokken are, and also post your latest journal entries, we will surely sort our why Wulfren isn't there. (In fact he IS there already, but the npc Wulfren is disabled until you have done certain things in the storyline. And it's no point in enabling him, cause he won't have the right dialog until you have done what you are supposed to). Post by: Morgoth Bauglir -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I found the problem; I didn't sleep long enough. So when I went to bed again (this time for 24 hours), there was no attack (I was attacked the first time I slept) and Wulfren was there. Then we went on to rescue Laurenna

Post by: Casper -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- i have a small problem (most likely a conflict with Vampire embrace i think, stuff like this usually is). when i'm suppose to charge into the castle & kill that evil shaman, i'm suppose to get a key from that maid. I have Laurenna in tow, and when i talk to the maid (who's name escapes me ATM) and click "little favor" she says it's privileged information. Or am I simply a dunce who did something wrong? Like I said, I think it’s most likely a conflict with the added you're a vampire greeting in the dialogue within Embrace, because I am playing this as a vampire. Post by: john.moonsugar -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What a coincidence, I was recently working on this compatibility problem myself. I wrote a little add-on patch (BT_Whitewolf_2_0-jms_patch-0.1.7z sites.google.com/site/johnmoonsugar/Home/morrowind-mods ) for vampires to play through that part of Lokken. The Readme tells how to work around the problem using the console, if you do not want to install a patch. edit - unsure if this still applies to the current version, since I've never played Lokken as a vampire blockhead

Emma, this is an absolutely fantastic mod! I love it...I honestly haven't played one that's any better at all. Great job! I need a little help though. I've just gotten up to the part of the main quest where I have to find her mother in the castle. I can't find her anywhere! I've searched all through the chambers and the south east tower and all that...and I can't find her anywhere! Please help! Also, could you give me clear instructions to find the stump that holds the weapons and armor? I can't find it anywhere. Sorry if I've asked questions about things already answered. Your help in this matter will be greatly appreciated! ^^
Post by: Emma --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The mother is at the very top of the southeast tower, it's a... ugh, I don't recall the correct expression for it... it's a "door in the ceiling", like it is when you leave the prison ship when you start a new game. You walk the stairs and you run into two guards, the second one will attack you. then you can open the door in the ceiling and you should be at the mother.
Post by: Blockhead2 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Location of tree stump that's got the treasure in it
SPOILER
. . . .
North and a little east (would that be termed "North by North East"?) of the Lokken Burial Tomb. Not far from the tomb. The stump is against a big vertical snow/ice outcrop.

Do you recall the ornate door that you went through before you had to face "Mad Bull"? Outside the door you should see a ledge off to your left (as you are going OUT this door). There is a locked chest on the ledge. The gauntlets are in there.
