I either play a Breton, who relies on stealth, archery and one handed weapons, or a Redguard who specializes in the same thing. I like the magic resistance built into the Breton. I do several things before I meet Vilja, including the Book of Love quest (for magic resistance and discovery of other locations). While in Markarth doing the Book of Love, I do the Heart of Dibella quest and also clear out the mine with all the gold ore, which generates a bunch of cash. I will pick up other Markarth quests while there such as Lisbet's statue quest. I will not do the quest line involving Eltry's note and have a mod which keeps that quest from going into my log. (The same mod allows me to avoid Thieves Guild quests). I do enough stuff around Skyrim that I am usually at least level 10 before I start Vilja. I have done Vilja so many times that I use Beata to get around almost all of the Bottle quest and the flute and lute quests.
I have tried other companions, but generally travel alone with Vilja.

I made the mistake of giving Vilja some fur armour,AFTER i tooks her dress off . How can I get her dressed again, I'm worried she may catch cold. Also I hate her armour.to Lydia, who I hate. Would someone cleverer than I am, please tell me how I can alter her looks, also how to give the girls different hair styles, some lippy etc more in keeping with my shaggy dog look.(err, no I dont have any lippy on!) At my old age, (should I still be playing video games at 80 years of age?) now, I cant remember how to do all these things without a refresher course. Can I use Race Menu on them ? Can I use it on my PC I looked ok at start. now ingame I look wildeyed, hair all over my face and I wouldn't trust me either. I look raving mad. Can someone send me £10.000 for a holiday? HaHa. I have to say that this post does not sound like you. Please say that you have not been hacked:) I am not quite 80 (not too far from it) and I still play computer games, but then I started at a rather ripe age.

I hate saying this, but the "Differing attitudes" pic above needs editing. THere is a view of her nipple that shouldn't be quite so visible on these particular forums... Had not noticed. Looks PG to me.

Broke our record yesterday. 32 arrows retrieved from a dragon. I'm a little pissed off about the Deadly Dragons mod. A dragon up in your face every few minutes. If we didn't have such effective anti-aircraft and immediate annihilation upon landing this would be way over the top. As it is, after an hour of game play everyone is staggering under the weight of dragon bones. Managed to cram 24 into Vilja yesterday. Err, that sounded wrong. I have never even considered Deadly Dragons. I think there are too many of them in the vanilla game and they become boring fast-almost as boring as those never ending Oblivion Gates.

What was unwarranted? Seemed pretty light-hearted to me and hardly worthy of scolding.

Apparently, all I had to do was post about it and her next comment apparently purged the coin. Nevertheless, she is on the wagon. AH, well Vilja does read the forum from time to time. Perhaps she though you were laughing at her... Perhaps. That is one of the many many things she says when I wish she would tell me about "something interesting she heard the other day".

You need children! Such exciting dialogue options! BTW, we are convinced Sindra is not a problem in and of herself. There is something in her scripts that acts like a catalyst when the game isn't as stable as it should be. Ha, I bet. Bethesda is so good at writing interesting dialogue options. Bethesda aside, I do not even invite Tindra to come and stay.

My potato computer is spared the "Hearthfire bloat". That add-on has always sounded mind-numbingly boring to me, anyway. (building a house-adopting children-ugh) No Dawnguard here either. Not having either keeps me from installing mods including USLEEP which require all DLCs.

I have not reduced her chatter pace-we have spent a lot of time doing "nothing" in non-hostile areas (what fun). The coin is apparently "stuck". No more drinks for her, ever.

I am playing current version of Vilja. My current character has finished about all of the game he intends to do and is merely waiting for those elusive (for all of my characters) quests which begin with "I heard something interesting the other day". We "dined out" at the Winking Skeever some game days ago and I gave her a single bottle of mead. She became drunk and has remained so for at least two full game days. From what I understand, when she becomes drunk a token is placed in her chest (I think it is called the drunk talk token) and should be removed when you talk with her over time. I have done some fast traveling and even did a couple of quests. I do not expect fast traveling to do anything to get rid of that token, but we have done a lot of just wandering around with her talking many times, but she is still drunk. I have used the reset spell on her, we have sparred a couple of times and nothing changes. I have even done the chargia fix. I looked up the reference id for the drunktalkcoin, opened the console while clicked on her and did a "getitemcount" command. She appears to have no such tokens in her inventory. We are too late in the game for me to consider a reinstallation followed by a Beata visit, but would appreciate any suggestions. I have gone through about every dialogue topic just to get her to talk, but she always reverts to drunk talk and her drunk talk lines have recycled several times.

You need to be a member of the College. She is a Bard. I believe you need to go on 2 of Viljas' assignments (From Wilbert) to perform before you can have Sindra join you. That is what I understand. I am a member of the college, by reason of the vanilla quest, but since I am not doing Wilbert's performance quests, I cannot ask Sindra to join me.

Well, with my current character who is not doing any of the assignments to perform but who has recovered all of the chant books, there is no option to invite Sindra to come with us.

Thanks for your reply. I do not believe those performance quests get in the way of anything. With my current character, I have decided not to do any of them, since I have done them several times with other characters. The only downside (and, in my view, not a large one) is that unless you do the performance quests there appears to be no option to recruit Sindra as a companion. Also, that is one of those quests which never shows as completed on your log even though you will never get any further performance tasks from Wilbert once you do them all.
