Huh, I guess I see your point. Though sometimes playing a big dumb beefcake can be fun too.

Hey! I resemble, er...resent that assumption! As a Nord, I feel that I have to defend my fellow Nords. We do not go around head-butting people...wait...we do go around head-butting people. Never mind!

Looks great, although I feel sorry for the poor chap who couldn't afford a real helmet but had to run around with some leftover from when the butcher last slaughtered a cow.
(silly horned helmets, grumble, grumble, grrrrr....)
Exotic? Well, the running-in-the-woods-in-the-snow-sequense is basically what I have when I go for a walk at this time of the year, if you exclude the dragon-part of it, that is.

I was just coming here to post that. AMAZING. I can't wait to stroll those paths. And, you know, defeat dragons. Emma, don't quash our enthusiasm! Some of us live in deserts, you know. Woods and snow are far-off fabled things of legend.

Well, some civilizations had have actual horned helmets (if I'm not mistaken the helmets that where found in a viking ship, creating this 'vikings has horned helms' thing where etruscans). Anyway that helm is uuuuugly. by the way, Cool avatar Helvorix!

Viking priests had horned helmets, but only for ceremonial purposes.

Looks very pretty. I too rarely see snow, and the woods here are all dense evergreen podocarps. And, having grown up in Adelaide, S.A. (a city practically on the edge of one truly outstanding expanse of sand), I still have an appreciation of snow totally lost to my european relatives. I've never considered the nords to be an exclusively martial race. Solstheim, to memory, was filled with witches, as well as the angry nudists. And our own world norse myth has plenty of magic in it, if one needs a precendent. It's just that the Nord racial abilities favour combat, so people typically make nord characters warriors - just like altmer are typically mages. That said, I'm sure there will be Nord stereotypes a plenty all over Skyrim. But they'll be sure to pointedly break them at times, too. - - - Regarding *THE HELMETS* To be fair, that horned helmet is not as over-the-top as it could be. Yes it is based on a thoroughly discredited stereotype (we had this discussion back at Rethan Manor, years back!), but whatever. Emma's comment does remind me of her wonderful snipe at the horned helmet 'tradition' in the Lokken mod - where the one horned helmet was explicitely stated to be the work of a nutjob farmer who'd killed his bull and stuck the horns on his hat. -A.

Another new engine!? NOOOOOOOOO!!! I only recently got a computer that could run Oblivion at a functional frame rate. And then only grudgingly because my old computer died! What do these people think we are, gamer geeks or something!? What, you mean we *are*?Okay, I'm going to hide in a corner - with my outdated technology .
