Hello!
I have got a small problem with Lokken island. Well, not only this mod, I have got problems with other mods to, I think it´s time to re-install the game soon.
Well, I have found Snorri, but he don´t want to talk to me. All I got is a "what are you doing here? Get out!" I suppose the game think that I have just happend to find Snorris cave, but I was sent there by the hunter with the bad hang-over.
Is there some way to make Snorri understand that I'm there to help, maybe some consol command? ------------------------------------- Posted by: Emma Post Posted: 04 Mar 2006 08:55 am Post subject: RE: Lokken: Snorri don´t want to talk to me « Reply #1 on: Jun 29, 2005, 07:10 am »
If you had listened a little more careful to the hunter with the hang-over you would have heard him say that Snorri would probably refuse to talk to you unless you either had Laurenna in tow or had found another way to prove that you knew her. wink. So, head back to Laurenna, talk over the situation with her and I'm sure you'll come up with a solution. _________________ Please visit my Elder Scrolls site ------------------------------------- Posted by: Emma Post Posted: 04 Mar 2006 08:56 am Post subject: RE: Lokken: Snorri don´t want to talk to me Baalzamon

Oups!
Sorry for that - I suppose I'm looking after problems everywhere just because I have had some real problem with other mods that have been working before. I will listen more careful to the npc:s after this wink

I've been playing lokken for a while now. Excellent mod grin
but im experiencing the same problem. I've got the amulet from laurenna's father but even with the amulet snorri dont want to talk to me ??
Anyway I'll load a previous save game just to check if I havent missed something.
I havent asked her to come with me as she obviously will want to stay with her mother.
btw. Even my mother of 69 is playing your mods, Emma grin Currently Morganna is keeping her company grin lol _________________ Please visit my Elder Scrolls site ------------------------------------- * Posted by: Emma Post Posted: 04 Mar 2006 08:57 am Post subject: RE: Lokken: Snorri don´t want to talk to me That's weird... Are you sure you did like Laurenna told you to do, and showed her the amulet before you left for Snorri (she told you this very firmly)?
Glad to hear that also your mother is enjoying MW and my mods grin. Please say hello to her from me! I hope that I will be playing computergames also when I am 69 or 89. Guess many of us will be doing so! _________________ Please visit my Elder Scrolls site ------------------------------------- Posted by: Emma Post Posted: 04 Mar 2006 08:58 am Post subject: RE: Lokken: Snorri don´t want to talk to me madman

I'll do that grin
I talked to laurenna about "The Token" in the dialog box and she told me to go visit snorri. So I think that good ?
Anyway I'm at work now so I can't actually test something untill later and report back tommorow grin _________________ Please visit my Elder Scrolls site ------------------------------------- Posted by: Emma Post Posted: 04 Mar 2006 08:58 am Post subject: RE: Lokken: Snorri don´t want to talk to me madman

Hi Emma, I found the problem. I used a eirlier savegame and found for one or other reason laurenna's fathers ghost wasn't in the tomb so Laurenna never get the impression that I was in the tomb in the first place
This means not talking to her father was the problem.
Thanks for a great mod _________________ Please visit my Elder Scrolls site

Hi Emma,
My mother in law has vanished BigGrin while using her training facility Sigrid vanished on me, and if it wasn't for the fact that Laurenna would be orphaned I would leave it at that, however I feel obliged to return her Sad any advice welcome.

Oh, thank goodness. When I saw this topic I thought Emma was contemplating making a mother-in-law mod. You know, she follows you around nagging and belittling you, all the while reminding you that her daughter could have done better, and wondering when you are going to buy her daughter a fine castle, and yada, yada, yada. I feel much better now. _________________ Please visit my Elder Scrolls site ------------------------------------- Posted by: Emma Post Posted: 04 Mar 2006 12:44 pm Post subject: RE: Lokken: Mother in law LilKid

Ahahaha.. I almost laugh at that idea... I can read ahead few characteristic of that mod features ...
FEATURES (i) Extensive dialog ... she nags and have unique responses everytime you speaks to her ... GUARANTEED. (ii) She is a witch... she sometimes joins in the fight ... usually (no, make that always) AGAINST you (iii) Unique quests ... replayable. Journey against all odds to .. find her Laughing (iv) More uniques features.... etc
Ahahaha... cant wait Twisted Evil _________________ Please visit my Elder Scrolls site ------------------------------------- * Posted by: Emma Post Posted: 04 Mar 2006 12:44 pm Post subject: RE: Lokken: Mother in law Theophrastus

Four years (bought Morrowind june 2002) and I'm still learning new things every day Very Happy !
But, if you want to understand the construction set, it's way easier to learn today, as you have got wonderful tools like for instance Edwardsmd's Morrowind Modmakers Manual to help you.
If you are curious about Morrowind and modding, you are always welcome to ask questions - I think most of us modders are helpful people, who likes to drag others into our addicti....EDIT... to help others get started with their modding. [angel02]

Just go and visit Laurenna, she always has something new to tell you. Wink _________________ Please visit my Elder Scrolls site ------------------------------------- Posted by: Emma Post Posted: 04 Mar 2006 12:55 pm Post subject: RE: Lokken trouble You must have got that wrong. The chieftain never ever tells you to go to Snorri and ask him about the wolf; he just tells you to go and kill the wolf, which of course is an utterly bad idea.
You'd better re-read the journal entries, and do like Magicflame says: talk to Laurenna. _________________ Please visit my Elder Scrolls site ------------------------------------- Posted by:* Emma * Post Posted: 04 Mar 2006 12:55 pm Post subject: RE: Lokken trouble b00g13dud3

i meant wulfgar(the dead cheiftan). when you talk to him inside his tomb he tells you to talk to snorri about where wulfren is or sumthing thing to that effect. and when i talk to laurenna she tells me to ask the bartender in the throne room(kirleen?) for info in a couple of days or sumthing and when i talk to the girl in the throne room she talks about erik and thats all. and i have tried resting and coming back but she does not update her speech. _________________ Please visit my Elder Scrolls site ------------------------------------- Posted by: Emma Post Posted: 04 Mar 2006 12:56 pm Post subject: RE: Lokken trouble Have you rescued Erik? And what "sumthing" did Laurenna ask about? You are going to visit Kielreen more than once, so "sumthing" doesn't really say that much. Have you checked Kielreen's topics? Maybe the update is there rather than in the greeting. And, above all, make sure you talk to Laurenna. _________________ Please visit my Elder Scrolls site

I just completed the Main Quest (Which was absolutely amazing by the way, I was glued to morrowind for 7 hours straight) and I'm trying to cure my berserker warriors from being mini. Now I tracked down the lady in Pelagiad who can cure them. Now I will confess, I used the console to get the ingrediants needed, but for some reason even with all the ingrediants, she doesnt acknlowedge that I have them. Hi,
I read at the official forums that you problem has been sorted out by now, and that the problem was that you had tried to give her cursed daedra's heart instead of the regular ones.
Glad this problem got cured, hope you'll continue to enjoy the Lokken island. _________________ * Please visit my Elder Scrolls site ------------------------------------- Posted by: Emma Post Posted: 04 Mar 2006 01:10 pm Post subject: RE: Problem with a Lokken quest Kampher

first let me say, super mod!! nice story, fun quests , no bugs so far! cool grafix..
ok ran into a bad position , i am on the main qeust and have to find that gauntlet, i talk to the hunter in the bear cave and he tells me i should kill the mom bear ... if i do he tals me what i want to know but then i get stuck with the two cubs ... no way josé .....
is there any other way to get the job done ?? without leaving them to die... I'm sure you'll find plenty of people in Lokken who would just love to babysit them for you wink. Talk to Laurenna, for instance... or Granny Torunn... or Snorri the shaman... or Fjorngrin... I think they will offer you help as soon as they see that you have those cubs with you.

Did I miss something when I played this through? I don't recall ever having to babysit cubs, I just killed the mother and continued on as usual. Oh, the cubs are in the cave, behind the mother. They are nice and friendly and need your protection. But, abandoning them won't harm the quest in any way. I found that the easiest thing to do while fighting with a companion in tow, is to give your companion a bow, and tell them to use Marksman only. The when you attack an enemy, you hit and sidestep (to avoid getting hit by your companions arrows wink ). That way she will be a help but not a hinderence, and you are staning in the way of the enemy, so they can't get to your companion grin _________________ Please visit my Elder Scrolls site ------------------------------------- Posted by: Emma Post Posted: 04 Mar 2006 01:15 pm Post subject: RE: Lokken main quest lost ninoo

ok i am in trouble ( or at the wrong place) i still cant find any passage in the masters bed room. when i enter there a animal skin in the floor and two steps further a round green carpet , i scanned every square cm of the floor and i dont see any door or trap door there .
are we talking about the same room .. inside the castle there is only one master bedroom door right ..? because for the enterance outide to the maste br door i have no key .... _________________ Please visit my Elder Scrolls site

Maybe you have open and re-saved the Lokken mod before running the mod, or maybe I have actually updated Lokken after I uplaoded the teleport-ring. It was so long since then, so I do not remember. As you probably know, changing the load-order like this can cause the infamous doubling-bug, and this is what has happened here. If your only problem is the doors, you can simply call up the console and click on them so that the ID-name shows up at the top of the console. The "right" one has an ID-name that ends with 0, the duplicate has an ID that ends with something else. Click on the duplicate so that its IDname shows up at the top of the console. Type: disable setdelete 1 That should remove it for good. Do the sam ewith the other doors. As for the armor... it's obviously gone. I just hope that you haven't got another problem as well... I think you should go and check the cottage, so that you don't have duplicates of Laurenna and Wulfren there... The doubling bug is a nuisance, and especially for landmass mods. Because of this, I'm right now working on an esm-version of Lokken. I have been working on it for a few weeks now, and also added a bunch of new side quests. But illness in the family have kept me from modding - and from replying here - for some days now and will likely keep me busy for some more days. P S If you have just recently added the teleport ring, your best option is to return to an older save. Open the teleportring in the construction set and save it. Now it is younger than the Lokken mod, and is not likely to cause any doubling. _________________ Please visit my Elder Scrolls site * ------------------------------------- Posted by: Emma Post Posted: 04 Mar 2006 01:17 pm Post subject: RE: some Lokken techincal probs ninoo « Reply #2 on: Sep 24, 2005, 01:24 pm » thnx emma for your reply , it wasnt that big problem ... but nice to know it can be solved .. and no i dont have double characters of anyone , luckly ... but i cant get into Laurareens belongings anymore , how is it called , so when you add stuff on her person like the wedding dress ... is that part of the ring bugs to ?, greetings ninoo _________________ Please visit my Elder Scrolls site ------------------------------------- Posted by: Emma Post Posted: 04 Mar 2006 01:17 pm Post subject: RE: some Lokken techincal probs If you tell Laurenna to wait (go into wander mode) and then tell her to follow you again, that will bring back the companion sharing. _________________ Please visit my Elder Scrolls site

I really love them, and my wife loves the cat companions BigGrin And then, holsters. It would be really nice looking if you would/could add holsters for the swords (at least Kinslayer Wink ) It could be located on the left hip, so the holster could be sort of belt. So could you make one please please please? BigGrin Hope you catch my meaning grin And one more question: Do you have any idea why i can't take the boat from Frostmoth to Lokken? And how can i fix it? Tuulos ------------------------------------- Posted by: Emma Post Posted: 04 Mar 2006 01:20 pm Post subject: RE: Holsters for swords in White Wolf Gez « Reply #1 on: Sep 27, 2005, 12:30 am » Quote from: Tuulos Quote: And one more question: Do you have any idea why i can't take the boat from Frostmoth to Lokken? And how can i fix it? Basks-in-the-Sun can take you. If he cannot, then he was also affected by another mod, one that is loaded after WWotL, so that his Lokken destination is overwritten. Normally (without other mods or addons), Basks can take you to Raven Rock and Khuul. If he has any other destinations than these two, you can be sure he was modified, and you'll also know the culprit -- the mod that installed his third destination. _________________ Please visit my Elder Scrolls site ------------------------------------- Posted by: Emma Post Posted: 04 Mar 2006 01:20 pm Post subject: RE: Holsters for swords in White Wolf Hi Tuulos, I think Gez is right about the travel destination Embarassed I'm doing a new versiion of Lokken right now, I will add another shipmaster in order to avoid problems like this. (Actually, Dinkum Thinkum brought up this issue with me only a few days ago; somehow the potential problem with using the argonian slipped my mind when working on the mod). As for holsters, I am not a modeller, so I couldn't make any holsters. Do you know about a good holster mod somewhere? _________________ Please visit my Elder Scrolls site ------------------------------------- Posted by: Emma Post Posted: 04 Mar 2006 01:21 pm Post subject: RE: Holsters for swords in White Wolf uulos « Reply #3 on: Sep 27, 2005, 01:50 pm » I think i know whitch plugin causes it, but i need to check it. Don't want to spread false news grin As for holster, i don't know any plugin that add only holsters, but Requiem mod from Phijama has a nice holster, something like that would be excellent. But since my scripting/modding skills are not even bad, but far below, i can't make it myself Embarassed But thanks for the insight _________________ Please visit my Elder Scrolls site ------------------------------------- Posted by: Emma Post Posted: 04 Mar 2006 01:21 pm Post subject: RE: Holsters for swords in White Wolf Zylox * « Reply #4 on: Sep 27, 2005, 06:42 pm » Tuulos - you might want to go to Morrowind Summit at www.rpgplanet.com/morrowind/ and do a keyword search for "sheath". They have several mods that add a sword and sheath to the game, and one of them might work well for you. _________________ Please visit my Elder Scrolls site ------------------------------------- Posted by: Emma Post Posted: 04 Mar 2006 01:22 pm Post subject: RE: Holsters for swords in White Wolf Hand of Sotha « Reply #5 on: Sep 28, 2005, 07:45 am » Quote from: Gez Quote: Basks-in-the-Sun can take you. If he cannot, then he was also affected by another mod, one that is loaded after WWotL, so that his Lokken destination is overwritten. Not necessarily, I think ... If Tuulos added Lokken after having interacted with Basks-in-the-Sun already (e.g. during Bloodmoon), then I think his travel destinations are saved in the save-game and are no longer subject to change by mods. (I had the same problem when trying to add an Ald Velothi Shipmaster to my own game - he took me wherever I wanted, but his colleagues simply ignored the new travel markers in Ald Velothi that I gave them. Two vacuum cleaner loads of hair later I gave up ... only to stumble across the reason given above later on. cirant) If that is the problem, Tuulos, you could try to delete Basks-in-the-Suns entries in the Enchanted Editor {scroll down a bit} ... afterwards, he should act as if you met him for the first time. (Probably not the best idea to use that trick with quest-important characters, but I guess a simple Travel Service NPC shouldn't turn out as a problem later. Maybe you should keep a backup-save, just in case.) Swords, daggers, etc. are kept in a sheath. I would suggest searching some of the major mod download sites for 'sheath' to see what you can find. I know there are some mods that allow weapons to be carried visibly in a sheath, but I havve no idea if any of those match what the original poster is looking for. _________________ Please visit my Elder Scrolls site ------------------------------------- Posted by: Emma Post Posted: 04 Mar 2006 01:23 pm Post subject: RE: Holsters for swords in White Wolf Tuulos « Reply #7 on: Sep 28, 2005, 12:27 pm » Thanks for the advice, i think Hand of Sotha is right grin And my english have rusted a little bit Embarassed I can understand it but my writing sucks help And thanks for the tip, i completely forgot that they are sheats, not holsters Embarassed _________________ Please visit my Elder Scrolls site

This *IS* the original mod. It's ver 2.0 now, but it is still the same mod. Previous versions have been removed as they are outdated. As it is the original mod, all the original quests are included. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Title: Re: Few Question about the Wolf of Lokken Mountian.. Post by: Emma on Feb 25, 2006, 02:12 pm -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well, it's 'general Bloodmoon level'. I.e. harder than vanilla Morrowind, but not so hard that you need to have an extremely high level char. I have heard people beating Lokken at approx level 20, but they probably had to re-load quite a lot. I have set up the enemies to be levelled to match the player's level. also the npc'enemies have been levelled to match player level fairly well, except for some strong badguys. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Title: Re: Few Question about the Wolf of Lokken Mountian.. Post by: knucklez on Feb 25, 2006, 02:28 pm -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * Thanks, once I level up I'll go there. I also downloaded your wolf companion mod, and I got on a stilt strider and the pup vanished Sad I tried putting on the command ring, but how do I actually use it? Post by: Emma on Feb 25, 2006, 06:24 pm -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It should be ennough to just put on the command ring. Didn't it work? I have no idea why the wolf vanished when you took the silt strider. I have often travelled with him In order to get him back, you can always also go to Seyda neen and ask for him. But the ring should really work, as soon as you equip it. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Title: Re: Few Question about the Wolf of Lokken Mountian.. Posted by: Licia Post Posted: 16 Mar 2006 12:57 pm Post subject: Problem with Lokken Hola,
I just downloaded The White Wolf mod (which I am really excited about, I actually bought Morrowind for pc because I heard such good things about it) and I got an error message that says: Model Load Error: Meshes\Emma\1em_B_N_nord_M_Head58.NIF cannot load file in Meshes\Emma\1em_B_N_nord_M_Head58.NIF. Will use the default object Marker_Error.NIF.
I extracted the mods to a desktop folder and put the ones that said bookart in that folder and the esm file in data files. The problem is I can't find this file anywhere (the nord head I mean). What am I missing? I know I am uber-retarded when it comes to installing these things. This is actually the third one I downloaded and installed (I wanted to wet my feet so to speak on a couple before I actually tried this one) and after much trial and error and extracting files to everywhere, I felt I finally got the hang of it, now this happens... d'oh! Please help!
Thanks in advance,
Licia ------------------------------------- Posted by: Emma Post Posted: 16 Mar 2006 04:06 pm Post subject: Licia, as we talked in the chat, I will await the results before I post anything further here, OK? Smile ------------------------------------- Posted by: Licia * Post Posted: 16 Mar 2006 04:25 pm Post subject: Ok...I think the actual download was the problem. I am downloading it from here and already the file is much bigger than the one I downloaded yesterday... Applause
Thanks,
Licia ------------------------------------- Posted by: Emma Post Posted: 16 Mar 2006 04:30 pm Post subject: Yes... that's what it sounded like when we talked in the chatroom Smile
Anyway, good luck with the mod, I hope you will like it Smile
And you are always welcome back here, with questions or just for participating and sharing your MW experiences with us Smile

You are using Vampire Embrace, right? There is a problem with VE and most dialog intense questmods. In Lokken, it affects the trophy room and the wedding ceremony.
Luckily, there's a solution to it: use ps33's mod "Vampiric Illusion" and put on the mask during these sequences. His mod is available at Elricm and at Planet Elder Scrolls. (He might be registred there as either Peter or ps33).
Hope this helps Smile. ------------------------------------- * Posted by: anacata Post Posted: 29 Mar 2006 01:26 pm Post subject: Still a problem with trophy room Well I´m sorry to say but it didnt seem to work, is there a way to make the Dialog work,, or anything like that like i finale sulotion,, becouse I hate to end this game Sad I realy enjoyd my stay here so far.. Version 2.0 has come out some time ago but I was afraid to install it because I didn't want to mess up anything Lokken related. Can I install 2.0 over 1.0? Will that give problems, might it, for example, remove equipment I gave Laurenna or the berserkers, or screw up my (in-game) marriage? I don't want to start the main quest again - not with my current pc, that is. So am I better of with 1.0 or 2.0? Or could there maybe be problems when I install the Lokken Childeren? I did a search on the subject but I couldn't find an answer. Thanks in advance. The Lokken children mod is dependant on the ver 2.0 esm, so if you want to add it, you'll have to upgrade before. I have heard of some people upgrading without major difficulties (cleaning with WryeMash I assume). I suggest that you simply make a copy of your saved game before cleaning and upgrading - that way you can always return to the copy if your save get corrupt. You might wish to wait and see if someone else than me posts here, others might have more and better information than I. (glad to hear that you are enjoying Lokken Wink) ------------------------------------- * Posted by: Kateri Post Posted: 29 Mar 2006 10:31 am Post subject: I was in the same position, and after a couple of unsuccessful attempts at upgrading, decided to stick with the first version. I Wrye Mashed the heck out of everything, but still ended up with everyone I'd killed being alive again, among other things, (entering the throne room was a bit of a surprise - Ragnar and co. went for my throat!) and all the NPCs were back in their original positions, and there were lots of other complications. I figured I could probably fix everything with judicious use of the console, but it would have taken hours, and still might have been broken, so I returned to version 1. My next character will get the benefit of 2. Smile But maybe if some have managed it, you shouldn't give up hope?
